My husband probably compliments me once or twice a week. I like to pretend he thinks it more often....:grumble:

I think you did fine, but I also think it's okay to offer suggestions on being healthier, i.e. be more active, watch less T.V., eat your fruits and veggies. And parents should also never refer to themselves as "fat" or obsess over "diets" in front of their children.

According to your diary you are eating 1200 or less, and skipping logging days. If you don't want to exercise every day, don't. Set your goal to a pound or half pound a week. Exercise 3 days a week. Log EVERYTHING. MEASURE everything. No guesses. No skipping days. Try this for 4 weeks. Report back on your progress.

What? A circle is ALL curves.

A 25" waist is not "fat".

What would have happened over the last 9 months if you hadn't been doing all you've been doing? Would you have gained 10lbs? Would your health have improved?

I always make enough dinner that I have 1-2 servings of left overs for lunch. Also good old fashioned sandwiches and can of soup.

Being strong enough to function in normal life (carry groceries, children, be able to move a couch with one other person). Fit enough to function in normal life, ascend 3 flights of stairs, walk a half mile, without getting winded or needing to sit down. Besides colds, no more than one "sickness" or illness a year. You get…

Thursday I had Wendy's for breakfast, Taco bell for lunch and pizza for dinner. I was within a 100 calories of my goal (which I consider close enough), hit my minimum protein and fat goals, had fruits and vegetables and took vitamins. I felt fine.

Good for you for getting started! Being strong is super fun. Good luck. But in general I think the term "skinny fat" is over used. You are slightly overweight and lack strength.

Jeans: Levi's 515 (Kohl's) Liz Claiborne Chelsea (JC Penney) Curvy Fit (Target) I'm still in the market for some khakis or trousers. The Apt 9 "Curvy" trousers from Kohls are not "curvy" enough apparently.

Does "dogs bollocks" mean bad or good? Not that I want to try "meatza"....
-
It shouldn't. Did you change your activity level?

U.S. 10 for the most part. 8 or 12 in some brands.

Yup. Power Wheels. But there's no way I'm getting one for my kids. They can ride their bikes.

It might happen. Would you rather be fat or have a little bit of lose skin? What about non-appearance motivation? I'm sure you'd be a lot healthier and comfortable if you lost weight, have more energy, etc. And if it really bothers you and you have the money you can have surgery to remove it.

My TDEE is around 2500. I set my goal to 2000 when losing.

So.... if "soft" is feminine and "hard" is masculine...... Which exactly are you?

Excellent job!!

Lovely!! But for me it really is lack of motivation. :grumble:

There's a huge long pdf that explains everything but that link is really awesome.

I have to remind myself of this too:

I think your stomach looks smaller too, especially from the side.

I like C's 6-pack.

There are a lot of us who do object and create uproar when those comments are made. I don't know how many times I've responded to a point out that it's okay to have preferences. It's okay to not want large muscles and a lot of definition but that it's NOT okay to insult those with bodies different from your preference. And…

Wow. That sucks.

Next time just say: "Yes. I've always wanted to pee in the bushes."

Just barking inside the house when someone comes to the door has been show to be a pretty big deterrent from theft and home invasions. I'm good with that. They don't have to know that if they actually came inside a little love would come the "beasts" down.

jefit Can be used once you move on from Stronglifts too.

Cute! Nice job. Jeans are harder to alter. I've decided to try to wear more non-jeans and have them professionally altered. But it seems that non-jeans that fit my quads are harder to find.
