There are total different camps out there. One group of people says that you get to that lowest calorie count and then if you exercise on top of it that you need to eat each and every exercise calorie that you have earned. The other camp is that those exercise calories are to be used only for an added boost in that days…

I know that as I've lost weight my cycle has gone through some funky changes...but it regulates out. But those changes occurred months after starting, not the first day. How old are you...could your body be starting the 'change of life' (~~shiver~~ I didn't even like typing that phrase...although no periods sounds like…

Your goals and asking if it is unrealistic all depends on you and how you respond to things. Personally, I'd be afraid for me that I would get into the progress and mess up a day and then feel like a failure and quit because "well, I messed up so it's all lost". If that is how you would react, then YES, you are being…

If you are going mostly for cardio, then it's a great place. The cardio machines at the PF I went to were always well kept and there were enough that I never had problem with getting on the equipment. It's totally no frills.

I try not to eat anything at least 2-3 hours before I go to zumba in the evenings. A light snack at the 2-3 hour before mark does the trick for me. If I eat too close to zumba I go through the hour fearing a revisit of that food in the most unappetizing return. Likewise a few years back my husband and i were out running…

My goal is 200 miles. I hope to get back to running 3-4 times a week in addition to my bike riding. (Darn plantars fasciitis!)

I keep mine open because I figure someone may get an idea for a low calorie food that they never thought of. :-)

Register for races. It is exhilerating to run in them. It is motivating to train for them....or at least run regularly each week because you know you have a race coming up. And it's great because they are usually fund raisers for some great non-profit organizations that do a lot of good. :-) That said...just go out and…

Congrats for being honest with your self and logging it all instead of getting angry with yourself and REALLY binging!

You have to eat to lose. I know....crazy! But the trick is in chosing HEALTHY foods. I know for me if I eat too many carbs (mainly bread, pasta, rice, potatoes........not the natural carbs such as fruits) I don't lose. So look closely at WHAT you are eating also!

Mine is open...not always perfect..but I'm out there being honest. So by all means anyone that wants to add me, please do. I also try to comment and encourage as much as possible. :-)

Yes, it does get easier. Follow the program, it really does work. I thought I was dying in those first few weeks of running. I struggled with my breathing and sounded like a steam train most of the time. A lot of it is not so much running fast (I was slow as a turtle) but learning HOW to breathe! Focus on your breathing.…

I agree with the going into the shop. In fact, window shop at a lot of the different stores. They SHOULD all steer you toward the same 'type' of bike (just different brands). Which I suspect will be a hybrid (it's what I would recommend). It is a great bike for a beginner that is going to be riding on multiple types of…
