  • You should count them for data purposes only. What I mean by this is that, you should plug them into MFP but I would not necessarily try to eat 200 calories less if I took in 200 calories of cough syrup. When you are sick, it is best to just deal with the fact that your diet is going to suffer and that you should at least…
  • As others have noted, you really need to plan for a night time snack. You are much better off eating 100 calories under maintenance than aiming for 300 calories under maintenance, getting hungry, binging and end up being 200 calories over.
  • Usually what I do in these situations is look for a similar sounding dish on MFP and then log the highest calorie one.
  • You could always just do the exact same thing you did on WW. Don't track fruits or vegetables but track everything else until you stop losing, at that point start tracking everything. Fruits can be fairly high in calories so I don't know if I'd do that for them, but it shouldn't be much of an issue for vegetables. At least…
  • First of all, I am really sorry to hear about your situation. I have a proposed fix for you that I might may work. I DO NOT suggest that you do this over the long term. However, this might be a good kickstarter to your weight loss goals. In regards to dieting, you have a couple of problems - you don't know how to cook, you…
  • Weight can fluctuate 5-10lbs during the day so don't stress out so much about being heavier later in the day. The rest of it is probably just water weight. Have you been keeping track of your measurements? If your waist line is the same, than you really have nothing to worry about. If it's significantly larger, well that…
  • Unless the other person brings it up first, i think it's a bad idea. If you are concerned about someone's health, it's not a bad idea to try and help them out. Invite them for walks and things like that. However, simply saying "You look like you've gained weight" is a bad idea. It's only going to hurt their feelings and,…
  • Cooking veggies with 1 table spoon of oil can make for fantastic results. I actually bought an actifry just so I can cook vegetables in. They come out really, really good with one 1 table spoon of oil/butter.
  • In my opinion, I think that sharing calories between days is a huge mistake. One of the biggest problem with undereating is the psychological impact that it' can cause. Here's the thing, if you undereat to the point where you start to get really hungry - that is when you are liable to start making really, really bad eating…
