  • Add exercise 4-5 times a week if you aren't doing it already. If you are, maybe kick it up a notch and think about adding weights if you just do cardio. Also, I'd cycle your calories a little ~ eat more some days, like maybe 1400/1500 one or two days and then go back to 1200 cals. Mix it up so your body doesn't get used to…
  • A killer Portuguese stuffing recipe from hell (it's beyond yummy!), the world's best pumpkin roll, and I've figured out how to make some incredible chocolates and fudge. My female friends hate me but their husbands love me during the holidays:devil:
  • Try Mucinex tablets instead of syrup. There are plenty of pill formulas that should do the trick without all the sugar. Good luck and get well! I swear by home made chicken soup with lots of spice and herbal tea (yes, I'm sick right now too) :flowerforyou:
  • stomach, face, upper body and butt, in that order. Kinda wondering if my thighs will ever decide to leave....
  • sugar (ice cream and caramel), wine, good cheese, pasta, and wine......:drinker: Love Thai and Indian food too, in non-portioned controlled servings....
  • You look stunning! You should be so proud of what you have accomplished!!!:flowerforyou: I'm so very sorry about your sister, that breaks my heart..... diabetes runs on my paternal side, and I have to watch it too. Thank you for reminding me how important my health is! Very very happy for you!
  • LOVE IT!!! Welcome to the boards, and I hope you take no prisoners!
  • Going to see it tomorrow for Mother's Day! Not a big fan of 3D ~ doesn't do too much for me. Much prefer the regular boring mode.... I'll second go see it in whatever you can ~ 3D OR regular ~ I'm sure you'll love it! I've been waiting patiently ALL WEEK!
  • ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^!!!! Congratulations!!! You are a huge inspiration to many!:flowerforyou: And yes, you were REALLY beautiful before, but you are pretty much drop dead gorgeous now ~ your happiness with yourself comes shining through!

  • I need the mental break as well as the physical release ~ I just feel more grounded and calm afterward! Gets rid of my stress!!! edited to say I certainly didn't start out liking exercise ~ it took about a good 5 months before I even remotely *liked* it lol..... It becomes routine and your body craves it after a…
  • I'm smart, I'm hella funny and I have a really good heart! I am more than just a body ~ it's just the vessel. People like me for me, whether I'm 200 lbs or 120lbs, I just have to remember to like me for me.... It's so easy to get wrapped up in just your appearance.:frown:
  • Avocados! Make yourself some yummy guacamole and put it on everything ~ eggs, sandwiches, dip for veggies. Hell I put it on toast (Ezekial bread) for breakfast quite often!!.....a great source of healthy fat and calories!:flowerforyou:
  • Face, back, stomach, butt & (finally) thighs, in that order. My legs drive me nuts!
  • I dunno ~ I'm not sure if it takes in to account your age, gender etc. All I can say is that the MFP calculations AND the machines are off. The machines average 100-200 cals off depending on what I'm doing. I always subtract at least 100 cals from the estimation on the ellipticals and stairs at the gym when not wearing my…
  • ^^^^^^^This!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This biggest difference (I've found) in improving my fitness is my heart rate recovery time between intervals or post exercise.
  • Congratulations on the weight loss and the running (that's so awesome!) ~ I wish you lots of success with the marathons! You sound like you got the running bug!:flowerforyou: A very inspiring transformation ~ you must feel as wonderful as you look!!
