Depends on the dog. Dogs like labs need lots of attention or they can become destructive. My dog can destroy a couch, a bed, and a bathroom in as little as 30 minutes. I would get a dog that you wouldn't have to crate all day. Our labs stay outside during the day in our backyard because I feel horrible having to crate them…

I personally would never quit a job until I had another one. You never know how long it will take you to find a new one. Did they hire you to work part-time?

I feel like Dr. Seuss.....rhyming words - we went to the football game and saw the team punt, but the bros in the crowd were clearly on the hunt, and when you rejected them the called you a cu*&.

I didn't know paternity leave existed before FMLA and equity rules. I thought before that fathers simply took vacation time to be with their families for whatever the reason. Maybe I'm confused.

I do! I dig the pig!

Who in the h#@$ did you reproduce with? I guess some women just don't know how to pick a good dad

I actually thought that paternity leave was originally intended to help with the care of the child and the mother's recovery (if necessary). Maybe I'm mistaken. If that's not the case, why would we also grant the same kind of leave in adoption situations? I also thought it had to do with some kind of gender equity thing.…

1. I have an inability to turn down a challenge. I'm super competitive. 2. I often prefer to sleep than eat. My husband doesn't understand this one. 3. I am addicted to marathons and triathlons. I sign up for them even when I don't have the money to do it.

You can't be serious that men only get paternity leave to take care of the mother. That's just silly.

No employer is required to offer paid maternity leave. They are only required hold your job for 12 weeks of FMLA. Any extra leave is something they do by choice. That being said, I think that all father's deserve the same thing that mothers get. There is a big adjustment that goes into bringing home a new child. It's not…

I'm training for an olympic distance triathlon. That's way outside of what I think I can actually do. As far as workouts, I'm swimming 2 days a week, biking 2 days a week, and running 2 days a week (at least 60 minutes of each activity). There's not much room for anything else :)

Thanks for the tips. I had a great time yesterday trying to ride around the neighborhood. Not only did I drop my chain, but then I couldn't unclip fast enough to avoid falling over. I'm sure the neighbors had a good laugh at my expensive. I'm getting better, but it's still a work in progress. I already feel a little more…

We had this issue on my team last year. One person was constantly not doing her part and refused to hear anything anyone else had to say. I tried 4 or 5 times to address the issues that were impacting our team during our meetings and it failed each time. As the team leader, I asked our administrator to sit in on our next…

The best way to build swimming endurance is to swim. Those other things are a great way to supplement and build overall cardio endurance (and they will definitely help and she should continue to do them). However, she probably needs to be in the pool more. I'm not sure that is helpful advice if you can't get there more…

Yes, it may be cramps. Drink more water before, during, and after your runs. Your body takes a lot of abuse when you are running. It could be just your body getting used to the impact.

It depends what you plan to do. Locked wheel is a must if you plan on running only. If you will use it for other things the unlocked wheel would work. Also, it's not that hard to turn one with a locked wheel. We have a BOB stroller with the stationary wheel. I use it all over the place. The only time the stationary wheel…

I like cake, it's not an excuse or laziness for me. I don't want to be skinny as a pole.

You never know which heavier person just spent hours working out at the gym so they can have that cheat meal. Don't hate.

Congrats! You should be able to ask your doctor. Not all insurance covers them.

If you feel like you need to rest, your body is trying to tell you something. Rest is how we get stronger. We damage our bodies when we workout and the rest/recovery is how we heal. Sometimes when the scale is stuck for me I will take a day off and it starts to move again. Your body will make you rest one way or another.…
