You can do it. When I first started at the gym, I was 336 lbs. It was really tough, but I got nothing but encouragement. Most people don't even pay attention to others in the gym unless they are not really there to workout. This is one reason I love the YMCA because no one there is paying any attention to what I'm doing. I…

I've been going since the beginning of June. I still have a regular gym membership at the YMCA, so that I keep the cost of OTF down. I go twice a week (8x a month). The prices for this to be your only gym seem to be too high. Pros: I've definitely seen gains in both strength and endurance. I've also lost 6 lbs which would…

Most doctors/nutritionists tell parents to make small changes in eating and increase physical activity for kids. For example, focus on eating at home for 6 months, cutting out juice for 6 months, or cutting down the amount of chips eaten a day for 6 months, after that change you make another one. This way kids won't sneak…

I've been going to OTF for a little over a month. It's a great workout and I feel like it keeps me accountable to myself since I can't cancel at the last minute without being charged  I have to say that the trainers will modify exercises for your if you have an injury and they make sure to check about injuries at…

I suffered with chronic PF for about 6 years! NOTHING worked (1 year of PT, custom orthotics, night splint, 6 cortisone shots, stretching, ice, rest, etc.)! I did all the other interventions before opting for surgery, but I was unable to walk normally due to the pain in my foot. I've never heard of Tenex procedure, but I…

Drinking water has never been an issue for me, but right now I'm feeling like I'm going to float away. I trying with the water, but 187 oz (plus additional workout oz) doesn't seem to work for me. I always judge my water intake by my urine output and color, so I'm going to cut back a little bit. The teacher cannot run to…

Continuing to run when you are having extreme pain from it is a problem. I would recommend swimming or cycling. My doctor told me no running for 6 weeks when I was first diagnosed. The first two weeks were spent in a walking boot. I did 6 weeks of physical therapy, and I'm very happy about my running now (very little…

So much for my goals this week - ended up sick AGAIN! I have very little energy to do anything, and I'm not really interested in anything other than sleeping. Oh well, it's a new week.

So, I decided last night that i needed to change my lent sacrifice. I need gradually take myself off of caffeine, so rather than giving it up completely I've decided to cut back on caffeine and then get off of it by the end of the 40 days.

3000 calories this week, and I'm giving up soda (that's gonna be a really big sacrifice for me, but in the long run it will be a good thing!
