Well l, just when I was ready to head back to the gym...the dreaded February cold hits me hard. I'm hoping that a few days off will help me shake this thing. It happe a every year at this time of year. Once this is done, I will go to the gym more. My husband and I have a new plan, so with can both go to the gym and the…

I hunk I've finally got a happy balance between living to eat and eating to live, but I need a kick in the pants for the working out. I only have a limited amount of time to go to the gym and I'm using that as an excuse. My goal this week is to get to the gym at least 5 times. There is really no reason I can't do that.

I don't like it when I get a bunch of candy/junk food because I don't eat it. I prefer to get supplies that I can use for the classroom and the students. Ask your child what the teacher likes. My students would tell their parents diet coke and different colored pens.

It's ok to take a break from eating healthy every meal. The best advice - have one (or two) cheat meal(s) a week so you don't feel like you are completely being deprived. I find when I cut everything out I fall off the wagon vs just adding a bit of a treat every now and then. Water is huge. I buy 2 gallons of water a week…

I don't know how they possibly could have bought the name brand meats for that amount of money. The Jennie-O turkey is ridiculously expensive. I personally thought $70 was a reasonable amount in most areas. We spend about $130 for the three of us, but that does not include lunches for my son and husband.

Sounds good to me!

Wednesday: 60 minutes indoor cycling

Tuesday: 45 minutes "running" on treadmill (it's running for me, but MFP says walking) Best food tips: 1. Don't drink your calories. 2. Include 1 serving of protein, 1 serving of carbs, 2 servings of fruit/veggies at every meal (never cut out a category of food). 3. You don't have have to give up your favorite foods. You…

Record it as circuit training for now. I would recommend getting a heart rate monitor.

You are not eating enough! You have to eat to lose weight. There are some days in your diary that show you at less than 1000 calories. That's not good.

Target has some stuff that will work. I used their clothes when training for a marathon without a problem. Macy's has some stuff as previously mentioned. You can also find some stuff in the men's department if you are simply looking for comfort (which was always my goal when training). I find that wearing the men's stuff…

I personally prefer to do body weight exercises, so I do a lot of that at home before I hit the gym. I use the machines and free weights about 2 times a week. I have a nice set of weights at home, so I do a lot of that in the am and then hit the gym hard for cardio in the evening.

This depends on your Y. I don't have to pay for any classes (and I've never had to pay for any classes at any other Y I've visited).

I LOVE my Y. We paid a little more and have access to all the Ys around the country. It's great. I highly recommend it. If you have kids, it's also a great place for them.
