  • I was a gamer but my lifestyle right now doesn't allow time for such activities. When I was gaming I played primarily RPG type games (never online games - those skeeze me out) and Need for Speed! I'm a huge Need for Speed fan!
  • More girls might be noticing you then you realize! We're super sneaky in our noticing. ;)
  • msbanana - I didn't see your comment until after I'd posted mine. It seems we have a bit in common. :\ Good luck in your journey!!!
  • I was a very tall child... and for as long as I can remember people used to say; Wow she's big! And even as a tiny child I took that to mean I was fat. Even at my thinnest I felt ugly and huge. Kids my age constantly made references to how big I was and I was always at least a head taller then them. It's kind of funny…
  • I have had bloodwork for iron done (I was a little worried about being low after a few dizzy spells) and my levels are fine. As to sodium I suspect I get too much. According to MFP I am always over in fat and carbs so I'm assuming I'm eating enough. :) I'm going to attempt running in the evening which will allow me to eat…
  • I take meds for hypothyroidism. As far as I know it's not a medication that has side effects?
  • Much of the vegetables we buy in a grocery store aren't much healthier then the junk we eat in a bag of chips as they're pumped full of growth hormones and pesticides and etc. Yes, it's slightly better for you to buy vegetables but the things they do to mass produce vegetables seriously creeps me out. I'd suggest buying at…
  • My sister has one basic rule for food that always makes me laugh. Her rule is this: Don't eat it if it doesn't remember where it came from.
  • Ah, that creates more problems because I run first thing in the morning and take medication when I wake up that prevents me from eating before I run (unless I wake up at 5am to take the meds, then eat at 6, then run at 7 but honestly I'm not THAT motivated HAHA). Would eating the night before be sufficient fuel do you…
  • A long, long time ago I was part of this team (I never, ever checked in, bad me). I just wanted to say you guys are doing awesome. :) I'm good now. Keep being awesome!!!
  • I wonder... when you're working so hard to improve yourself is that really the right time to attempt focusing time and energy on a relationship as well?
  • Push ups (modified or proper) for upper body. Sit ups. Lunges and Squats for lower body. The most basic of exercises but something you can do. You can use your weights to do things like arm curls and the like.
  • Due to work and the season I haven't had a chance to log on at all, and haven't been logging my calories OR working out. What I have been doing is taking note of how much I'm eating. While I don't know calorie intake I have been guessing and apparently doing well at it since I lost two pounds in the last week! My goal was…
  • If you want to 'muscle up' you actually need to be gaining weight anyway. So don't worry about it. If you're doing everything right your body is just adjusting as it needs to accommodate the new form it's taking. Just relax and enjoy the ride!!!!
  • HAHA! Oblivious? Should I be insulted? When would I EVER need to defend myself physically??? Gosh! It would be hard to go through life pulling back in exercise just in case I make my muscles too sore and can't defend myself in case of an attack? Heeeeee. My motto is give 120% in everything you do, and sometimes that…
  • Absolutely! Pulls ups are my big fitness goal because in all my life (even as a kid) I couldn't do them. :)
  • Yeah, you're definitely not alone in this one! 90 day challenge eh? Why not!? For me every DAY is a challenge - haha, but it's always good to have goals so that each one you reach feels like a victory and helps a person feel motivated.
  • Congrats on the losses!!!
  • I think it's personal preference. I know people who tally by the week and those who do so by the day. Basically you need to have a weekly deficit of 3500 calories to lose a pound so I'd think if you overeat one day and exercise the next it would even out. However, the body is funny and doesn't run well without proper fuel…
  • Good luck Amanda! My plan is to monitor my eating much more closely. Usually when I get home after work I end up mindlessly munching. Stress eating is a killer.
  • I feel skinny when there's no mirror and no stick thin people around to compare myself to. :)
  • I'm with you limestar. No gain, no loss, just sameness. But it's okay. :) I'm glad I haven't gone up at least!
  • Natural sugar is better then refined sugar so maybe try things like honey in your coffee? Or keep a piece of fruit around to grab when you have a sugar craving. :) That might help!
  • Well, I started this new marine corps workout thing and holy moly. OW. The abs work has me so sore I can barely sit up when I wake in the morning! Haha. It's great. In other news my car broke down so I will be walking everywhere the next few days, that should help the weight loss? I'd hope! vanimami- SUGAR! Agh. It's the…
  • Thank you Madeline. :)
  • I'm really late checking in! Loss of .5. ): Been focusing more on NANO then exercise! So I woke up this morning an hour earlier so I could workout AND write. Haha. This month is going to kill me.
  • I just read an article that stated using the elliptical on incline without bars is a good way to keep your body in running shape during the winter when you don't want to go outside (or when it's unsafe to). As soon as the snow hits and stays I won't be able to run. I live in a town where the sidewalks aren't properly…
  • Just keep plowing onward and work extra hard? That's what I'm planning. :)
  • I do my tracking on paper so I get the reminder all the time. I suspect that will be tapering down now that I've joined a challenge and have to check in once a week!
