Thank you everyone. I was looking at the New Balance F4 - but I don't think it comes with a chest strap. It is so hard to tell online, it seems most sites don't list whether you get one or not!

I am aiming for 145 - right now I am 168, but started this summer at 180. I have always been quite *ahem* chesty, so I really can't ever see myself being below 130.

Mine was to lose the first 10 lbs, which also meant saying goodbye to the 170s - and I just did it on Tuesday!

My very good friend was 258 pounds (5'4) when she got married, and they tried to have a baby right away. She went through 9 (!!) miscarrages before the doc finally mentioned to her that it could be her weight. So she did weight watchers (before points plus plan) and lost 75 lbs ( all the meanwhile putting of the trying to…

I would fill up ahead of time with some veggies and low fat dip. Allow yourself to have the odd appy and nurse a glass of wine through the night.

Oh well no wonder - its the carpet. It will always give you a different reading! Never use a scale on carpeted floor, always on a hard surface.

I consider every day I log in and don't binge ( or make excuses to eat like " i deserve this" etc) a success too. I certainly have a long road in front of me, but my first 10 was really important to reach, and I can't believe in less that 4 weeks I am almost there.

I added ya! Congrats on your progress!!

I am sure someone has mentioned it already, but if not, definitely check out the Quinoa 365 recipe book, it is AMAZING. I have made so many great things from it, and it has really helped me get creative thinking of ways I can incorporate quinoa into other foods ( like baking, which I love to do) The granola is nice and…

I did WW a few years ago when my mom was on it. She had all the tools so she got me a set and I did really well, lost about 10 lbs ( all I needed to at the time) and she lost 45! This was in a couple of months. Then I went through a huge breakup that involved a move, leaving a control freak etc and gained it back. Over the…

When are people going to learn it is not okay to ask that question!? Even more so, why the hell do complete strangers think it is ok to just go up to pregnant ( or so they think) women and rub their belly!?!

I actually have had a surprisingly great start to this challenge - 8lbs lost so far in the 2.5 weeks! However, last night was plain out ridiculous - it was dinner and a movie and I just went overboard, ate way too much of all the wrong things. Let me feeling really guilty. I did get right back on the horse this morning…

I struggled this weekend for sure- we had to go out of town unexpectedly, and while I tried to stay as conscious as I could about what I was eating, it was difficult. I just tried to make the best choices I could, or take small portions if I knew there weren't really any great options for me. I do know that I went over my…

You ARE a good mom, because you are trying to get fit and healthy so your children ( and hubby) can benefit from having a healthy active role model in their life. If you are feeling guilty about what you are cooking, it sounds to be like you don't have a very good arsenal of healthy recipes on hand. Cooking healthy for…
