Try making your own. It's not as hard as you might think, and then you definitely know what's in it. You can find lots of recipes that are basically flour (choose whole grain), water, yeast, a little oil, a little sugar, and a little salt. And it tastes so much better, and is more filling!

Exact opposite problem here. I love my outdoor exercise including hiking from May to October, but the rest of the year it's too cold, and usually dangerously icy underfoot. I love living in Canada :ohwell: Thinking I'll get some snowshoes next winter for those milder days.

I make this spicy peanut sauce and use half as a marinade for boneless chicken breasts or thighs, and reserve the other half for warming up and pouring over chicken on a bed of rice or pasta and/or veggies. Like a peanut satay sauce made with stuff I have in my pantry. 4tbsp. peanut butter 4tbsp. hot water 2tbsp soy sauce…

Why not ask your downstairs neighbours if it bothers them (or if it would bother them). The worst they can do is say that it will, in which case you'll have to skip Thursdays, but they'll probably appreciate you asking and might even be able to tell you to go ahead, since they don't get in from the pub, work, ball-room…

Been there. It is the rudest question ever! I would never ask someone that unless they were wearing a 'baby on board' t-shirt. I wish I could be cool and blasé about it, but each time its happened to me (maybe 3 or 4 times) I just turn bright red and stand there with my mouth gaping open like a fish out of water. And never…

45 minute brisk walk with my dog. It was a very busy work-day for me, and my SO is out of town, so I was proud of myself for getting that in.

I've had meniscus tears before, it will usually heal on its own in a couple of weeks with rest, and ice. Good luck. Remember knees are not built to twist. When you go back to exercise, focus on keeping perfect form.

Plan for a healthy snack, also try brushing your teeth or chewing a sugar-free gum.

Lots of fruit & a drizzle of real maple syrup, and enjoy every drop.

Movie theatre popcorn with lots and lots of 'buttery topping'. And Coke zero.

Our height and goals are the same. My start weight was 224, and currently 218.5. I started last summer and lost about 20 pounds, but then my life turned upside down and I gained it all back. Restarted about 6 weeks ago and down about 3.5 lbs.

My first 23 years I didn't like egg yolks. When I was pregnant with my first child I craved fried eggs, and have loved yolks ever since. Baby #2, I craved egg salad, baby #3 boiled eggs, baby #4 devilled eggs!!! Ooooh yum, now I'm hungry!

Make your own vinaigrette. It's actually very easy. I like sunflower seeds and tuna on mine. Or left over roast chicken, or grilled chicken breast, I also like fruit, grapes, or raisins, or chopped apples. Oh, the options are endless!

I'm adding you. I'm in Petitcodiac NB, near Moncton.

Yep. The mother and sisters thing isn't fool proof either. I got the other end of that, since neither of my sisters or my mother got any stretch marks, and I got some from puberty, and even more from delivering a nine-pounder. I would guess that I got that particular genetic predisposition from one of my grandmothers. That…

If it were me, I'd be gone so fast you'd see one of those people-shaped holes in the wall. On the other hand, if that's not the solution you want, I'd try couples therapy. His behaviour is controlling and ultimately he's being emotionally abusive. Is that the kind of marriage you were hoping for?

I LOVE cereal for breakfast, and although I do have oatmeal a few times a weeks, for those days when I'm not awake enough to be trusted with applicances, (seriously, I singed my robe a couple weeks ago while stirring the oatmeal!) I like spoon size shredded wheat with fruit and milk. You can sprinkle a few nuts or seeds if…

Love this one. Combined with the, 'I'll take it for later", then sneakily trash it, I think I'm set! Even my Mom would buy that one.

I looked at it, but they lost me at 'no fruit'.

I can understand your frustration, but as everyone has said, three days just isn't enough time. You have to decide if your goal is really to be skinny, or to be healthy. Obviously for many of us to be healthy weight needs to come off, but I've found that I need to focus on the smaller changes in my life rather than getting…

To prevent the fries sticking to the pan, pre-heat the pan. If you pre-heat the oil too, it will make them crispier. Also works great for regular potato wedges. You just need enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan, about a tablespoon works for me.

fruit gummies! Can't buy them for my kids, because I cannot stay away. Once ate 5 packs while making their lunches.

I do childcare out of my home. My husband works from home, too, as a minister at our church. We have 4 school aged children. This is our schedule. 6:30 - husband up, showers, wakes kids, and starts trying to pry me away from my bed (I'm soooo not a morning person) 7:00 - I'm up making lunches, kids eating breakfast,…

Probably not. If your sugar is coming mostly from fruit and dairy don't sweat it. People complain about this all the time. Usually 2 pieces of fruit and a glass of milk put me over. As long as you're not eating tons of added sugars, it should be okay.
