  • I confess that I question my purpose in life every morning my alarm goes off when it's time to go to work. I confess I've been on MFP all day at work and kept my cursor on another screen so I can change windows immediately after someone comes up to my desk. I confess that every girl I have dated ended up being a…
  • Awesome Job! Way to be determined!
  • I did find that if I exercise I always tend to eat healthier.... I don't want to ruin all the hard work I put in but as everyone else has posted and as I posted earlier, eating healthy is key.
  • That's what started it for me..... I was 272lbs when my high school sweet heart left me my senior year in college. I've dropped 90 lbs. I'd run or hit the gym to wear myself out so I couldn't think anymore...

  • I found a good slow absorbing protein is the best for late night intake. Protein is a lean calorie source and will help your muscle recover during the night. plus a slow absorbing protein will help keep your metabolism going during your sleep. I use Matrix 5.0 Cookies&Cream Protein by Syntrax. It's honestly the best…
  • You're right, they're both important. But eating right should definitely be at the top of your priorities. You can work out as much as you want, but if you don't have the correct nutrition, you'll never succeed. It's easier to keep knock off calories from your diet than it is to burn the calories on a treadmill. It boils…

  • We get to play the numbers game with calories instead of playing farmville all day! (actually I've never played farmville, HONEST! Dont judge me!)
  • Its not going to hurt you as long as your total calorie intake stays under. Its more important to stay above your protein intake than it is to be under. The more protein you have, the more lean calories you have to feed your muscles. Calories from protein is a good thing. This will help you maintain muscle during your diet…

  • I do both, something light and simple at least an hour or more before to give my muscles fuel to have a good workout. Then immediately after, I have my protein and complex carbs to help my muscles recover.
  • Fiber and protein always works best for me. Oatmeal and eggs keeps from wanting to eat a cow come lunch time.
  • Try switching up your workout routine. Muscle confusion is the best to keep your body from adapting and plateauing. I switch out my routine every other week. The closer your body gets to its ideal weight, the less fat it will shed. I've never tried mixing up my calorie intake, I'll need to try it out, thanks guys!
  • Depends on your BMR... Your height, weight, body fat %, activity level, and age will determine how many calories your body requires to maintain its weight. There are a ton on BMR calculators on the web...

  • I've gained weight in every relationship.....and lost weight after each breakup... I'm currently losing weight! hahaha
  • Yes it's important for any type of workout. Protein helps with recovery like everyone has mentioned (Glutamine and Potassium is abundant in Whey Protein and is key for recovery). Whey Protein is a lean and quick source of calories to keep your muscles fueled and is one of the easiest forms for the body to absorb . Intake…
