I've been G-cup + and ran in Shock Absorber bras. Check out the site www.titlenine.com. They sell great sports bras and have a helpful rating system. You will have to pay more, but I don't need more than one bra with the ones I've bought from this site.

This is what I have done in this situation: Drink a lot of water today. Don't eat or drink anything sweet today. Extra work-out today - even if it is just an extra 15 minute walk. Eat really healthy, filling foods today (veggie soup - greens - big salad). Forget about last night - it was just one night with dessert. Not a…

Bumping for later - sounds delish! Been craving choc, but wanted something like this instead of junk. Yay!

Bumping for later...love quinoa!

I don't eat a meal within 2 hours of running, and drink all of my water at least an hour before to avoid stomach upset. If you've only been running for two months, and the nausea is due to working too hard, then I would slow my pace. You should not go all-out effort when you are a beginner runner. You risk injury. In the…

Holy smokes!! Amazing difference. Love your enthusiasm and dedication. Can't wait to see what you do next!

The pain on one side may sort itself out with more training - you've been running a very short time. Slow down or shorten your runs for a while and concentrate on your form. There are some excellent videos on form on youtube (just search "good running form"). Are you running on a track or on a road? If so, switch…

Mine are usually variations on a theme. I don't buy dressings as I never seem to finish the bottles - I get bored with them. Add all ingredients to a recycled mustard jar and shake: "French" 1 tsp olive oil 1 tbsp sherry vinegar 1/2 shallot, finely minced 1 tsp dijon mustard salt & pepper to taste "Greek" 1 tsp olive oil 1…

Mmm...nachos. When I want 'em - I don't want chip substitutes. So, I make them sort of like individual bites. Take about 5 tortilla chips, (pick the whole ones out of the bag) and toast them lightly in the oven - just barely some color. Then, stack them up with with your fresh, healthy ingredients/toppings (like you're…

Love your attitude OP - pay them no mind! I've gotten a "fat *kitten*" comment whilst running...but at the same weight a bunch of teens also yelled out "nice *kitten*." Who knows what goes through the heads of people who shout out insulting/crude/whatever comments to random strangers. BUT...I have to say, as a former super…

Congrats - such a great feeling, isn't it!! And, that is a great time, especially for a first 5k.

I have in the past (slimfast, weightwatchers, lean cuisine, atkins, and so many others), but I don't really like the taste of the products and it doesn't seem to work for me. I've found that I do better when I prepare my own meals - feel more satisfied. But, some people really love them and they do take the thinking out of…

I would never say (I'm not attracted to you at this weight) to my husband, and if he said something like that to me, I would be devastated. We've both gained weight since getting married, but I've been the one trying to get back "on track." I cook healthy food, talk to my husband about my weight/health goals and try to get…

Long-time runner here, who has been sidelined quite a bit in recent years after a car accident and misdiagnosed injury. Anyway, I'm finally on the right path and hoping to get back into training by the end of this year. Working on rebuilding my basic technique at the moment. I'm also studying to become a yoga teacher. I'm…

I really hated running with water - just because I don't like to be encumbered by a lot of gadget/equipment whilst running. The belts were annoying for me. I found a small water bottle for runners with a handle, and that was the least annoying option for me. But, really, unless you are running a long distance (the "rule" I…

Ooo - thanks for replying with your experience, shmiracles. We may be moving to VA next year, and I had read some articles about Yogaville and am thinking I may visit if we do end up in VA.

Sorry I disappeared! I was traveling abroad for two weeks in the countryside with little or no Internet. Sad to see the plank challenge died out a bit, but I'm still doing my daily planks. I think I will continue with them as I definitely see improvement in the midsection and posture.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't checked in, but am traveling until the 25th. I've also been slacking on my planks - only three this week- but we've been SO busy, I'm exhausted. Hoping to do better for the second half of the trip (and not find myself with too much of a setback. Ok, I'll try to check in again when I have…

So sorry that you are having such a bad time. I went through a similar bad period with depression and gained back ALL my lost weight plus an extra 10 lbs. Don't be hard on yourself. It is very difficult to lose weight when you are depressed. Losing weight is hard on you mentally when you are at your best. Maybe start by…

I know how you feel! My weight peaked about 6 years ago and I've been cutting back on social engagements ever since. I hated buying clothes at my high weight (cause most stores didn't even carry my size) and didn't feel confident when I went out. It was getting a little ridiculous, actually. I finally told myself that I…

mixture of zucchini and summer squash, sauteed with garlic and sprinkled with asiago cheese and walnuts (from South Beach cook book). Yum!

Not realistic at your weight without doing something extreme. Believe me, I wish I could say otherwise! 2 lbs per week would be a doable challenge, but 1 - 1.5 is realistic. So, I'd make the goal 2 lbs per week, but mentally prepare yourself to lose 1 to 1.5 and be happy. 4-10 lbs is probably the most realistic range for…

Day 6 I planked in yoga, but no timed plank. Day 7 Planks in Yoga class, plus timed planks: plank 65 sec and side plank 20 ea side.

I feel off right after I eat something high carb, esp. if it is sugary. I'm on SB phase 2.

So, I finally tried the "hipster flow" by Sadie Nardini. I loved it - great suggestion! I will definitely look at her other practices. Anyone else have some suggestions for yoga videos/cds?

I echo what rubybelle has said. There is a lot going on at the knee, so a physio is your best bet. Don't just keep running through pain, it will only get worse. You may be over-training, but it may be a gait issue. And, new running shoes are not a cure-all. Rest and ice while there is pain and get to a physio. A few days…

My mother was the EXACT same way about clothing, makeup and even ear piercings. And, I resented the hell out of her for it. She was strict about a lot of things, actually. Now, at 36, I see what the teen girls are wearing and I think: "Thank god my mom didn't let me dress like that." I went with a friend to pick up her…

My husband had his thyroid removed and is on meds, and Atkins and South Beach are the only diets that work for him. Are you using the meal plans and recipes? If not, are you tracking your calories? I use Phase 2 on SB - you could also move on to Phase 2 for a couple of weeks and see how that goes.

DAY 5 I totally spaced day 4 - so much going on! I had a plank heavy yoga class today - no timed plank, but I definitely got my plank on. So tired - lots of exercise plus heavy house cleaning and I'm exhausted! It is hard to workout hard while trying to lose lbs!
