Omega vert 350 is very easy to clean, a prime consideration when juicing. I juice a bit, not full throttle. Mainly carrot spinach cucumber juices as an addition, not substitute to other veggies. It is a way to get more veggies if you don't always feel like cooking.

Great place to stretch after a hard workout and I've heard great for your skin.

Thanks folks! Next question; what weight ranges? I was thinking three different weights. I am self-rehabbing a torn rotator cuff too.

Sensible advice

Hahaha :)

I haven't done much in the way of squats other than with battle ropes. I have a functional trainer but the weights are for work and there is little space in my office. That's why I was thinking of dumbells a da bench if necessary.

Thanks folks! I was glad to read your comments as it would take up valuable real estate for certain. What's good, set of 10, 12 and 15 lbs dumbells?

Wishing you the best for health and recovery and that you can regain energy to exercise again. Sorry you are going through this :(

5'2" and currently 149 and a size 12 bottom and large top. I am quite curvy and think even at goal weight (130) I won't get below a size 8

Precor has a motion I like. The others I have tried not so much. I have degenerative discs and don't run anymore but do walk a lot on the treadmill. When I want to do HIIT I find the elliptical the best. Have been using a Precor for over ten years and have never hurt myself on it but certainly have hurt myself on the…

Aikido is something you might want to consider as well. It takes many years to learn well and you never stop growing and improving. Plus it is a blast to be thrown, roll, get up and do it again :)

I am 51 I have lost over 30-pounds since January by walking a lot and sensibly cutting back on my intake, plus weight lifting. It is coming off slowly but it is coming off. Another 20 pounds to goal weight, although I might revise it depending on how my body feels. The last five pounds have taken close to three months.…

Fitbit and bodymedia fit are not the same device. These devices estimate your BMR based on what you input as to age, weight, height, lifestyle etc and measure based on a 24-hour day so when you wake up in the morning there will be calories burned already unless you tell it you are dead. There is a way to deal with the…

Most days you are eating between 1200-1300 calories. What is your height and weight and activity level?
-
BMI or BMR? I am simply trying to eat below my TDEE consistently and by 10-15% if possible. I think it is working but I haven't done a vLCD in over 15-years so didn't need a reset. I do think I was under eating though because I was hungry all the time. What has been really difficult for me to calculate is the expenditure…

The Fitbit says I burn on average 500-600 calories LESS a day than the BMF. I thought the Fitbit was measuring low but guess the BMF might be high so I am simply splitting the difference and eating 10-15% lower than the average. I have upped my daily calories from around 1600 to around 1800 most days, sometimes much higher…

I have moved it back to my arm. It is logging a few more steps but pretty light. I have done about 24,000 today according to my Fitbit and 18,000 according to the BMF. The treadmill says just a hair under seven miles. At least BMF gives me a higher TDEE rating so far. It might change as it gets used to me

I am experimenting between leg and arm. When worn on my leg it tracks similar steps as the Fitbit but less than a quarter if worn on my arm. I am guessing it is overcounting on my TDEE when worn on the leg and under on the arm. Giving it a few weeks of each.

Thanks, I am eating a small amount more than normal right now. Basically want to up my calories eventually to right around 1,900 and still lose if I can. I have been averaging between 1650-1800 most weeks and have been losing steadily, but very slowly (25 pounds since starting MFP in March). I have just over 20 pounds to…

I guess 20 pounds in six months is 3.5 pounds a month, so maybe I should be more realistic and spin it out to ten months? I am still overweight but I feel very healthy now.

Big happy face! Way to go!

Well so far the difference in calorie expendature is enormous which is why I believe it takes time to "learn" what you do each day. I do expect there will be a difference in the end, but my guess is it will narrow to a couple hundred calorie difference, not 500 or more.

It doesn't register as on my body when I move it to my leg. Where do you put it? I put it on my calf as my thigh is too large for the strap that comes with it (sigh).

I made some the other day roasted with a bit of broth and fresh rosemary. Very delicious

Thanks! Do you still wear it there?
