I have 2 dachshunds. One refuses to run with me(she is 7 yrs old). The other loves to run(She is 8 yrs old). We have just finished the c25k together, so I only run for 30 min. She is only 12 lbs and has very very short legs. My vet thinks it is great and she is in great shape.

I did it! I completed the C25K Today! I ran for 30 min today and ran 2.2 miles. It took me 12 weeks.

I use Runkeeper. It uses GPS not steps. There are lots of activites in it like walking, running, skiing, cycling etc.

I had trouble running 1 minute the first week. I thought I was going to pop a lung. I read up on breathing while running and that has helped a lot. I have never run in my life before. If I can do it with bad knees and at 52 yrs old, you can too. Make sure you go slow as possible. I am still very slow but am getting faster…

I have lost 63 lbs and am down from 24/26 to 16/18 size. I still think my pics and the mirror look the same as when I was 63 lbs heavier. I'm on week 6 of C25K. I was losing weight before and am still losing. The thing I have noticed since starting C25k is my energy level has gone up a lot.

That is a big stepping stone. I have been there. Congrats! I can now run(very slow) 20 min. I'm not morbidly obese anymore. Congrats to all of you as your lives change for the better.
