  • Cheers Lorro, I've been running out of dinner ideas and this sounds good. I love guacamole, might put some of that on as well.
  • I was complaining about this just this morning!! I'm a UK size 12 usually, although my jeans are a 10. I tried my co workers size 14s on and I could get them past my thighs :noway: It's so frustrating!!
  • That sounds so good!! Might have to try that. Did you have salsa with it?
  • Hey guys, Welcome newbies! Mmmm quavers!! Love them Lorro, not quite as much as I love kettle chips with dip but they're death in a bag. I had dinner at lunch time, I heard it's better to fuel you for the day? I had mashed potato, green beans and cod. Was yum and now I'm having some ryvitas and cottage cheese. Oh the…
  • Morning all! Oh my, lifting my chest off the ground might be a challenge  Challenge sounds good though, I'll start today. I had my weigh in yesterday and I'm 141lbs which means I'm officially a HEALTHY weight woop woop woop! I celebrated by spending £40 on Benefit make up, to add to my healthy glow  Starting…
  • Oh and I meant to say before, did anyone watch the things on TV about Claire Richards who used to be in Steps? She put on loads of weight and it's about her losing it for her wedding. I think it's called "My Big Fat Wedding" or something, it's on the BBC iplayer website. It's really good!! So inspirational, she looks…
  • Hmmm how about toning exercises this week? Squats, lunges etc.?

  • Defo going to try this one :drinker:
  • I wouldn't suggest skipping the video, I did one that did wonders for my muscle strength and flexibility. It really helped toning me up and didn't cost the stupid prices at my local gym. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of it though :noway: But if you shop around I'm sure you can find one that suits your needs. Good…
  • Just us then Lorro!! How did the new recipe work out? Weigh in day on Monday for me, hope to be 141lbs but we'll see! I can't wait to be under 10 stone again! And once I get under 141lbs I'll have a normal BMI!! Hope everyone is having a good weekend :drinker:
  • Where is everyone?! Am I the sole survivor of the UK team!? Congrats on getting back on track Lorro, well done! I'm behaving myself aswell. I went swimming for an hour today (I'm fast enough to go in the medium lane woop!) and challenged myself to not let my feet touch the ground for the last 15 minutes...I felt the burn!…
  • Hey Lorro, hope you're getting back on track! Exam was OK, I could answer all 3 essay questions pretty well but you never know the standard they expect until you get it back...so we'll see! Revision screwed up my eating big time though, for dinner on Monday I had half a Macdonalds cheeseburger with a side dish of half a…
  • Morning all! Challenge sounds fun, have no idea what to do though, any ideas? Well done Katherine!! How long did it take you? My goal weight for today was 143lbs and I weighed in at 142.8 lbs woop woop!! So glad, thought it wasn't going to happen. When I get under 140lbs I'm going to buy either of these dresses as a treat!…
  • Sounds like a challenge to me
  • Hey guys! Weeeeeeeell today went all wrong, whoops  Being stuck in the library and stressed about exams didn't do well for my diet. I walked to uni (about a 30 min walk) and ate scrambled eggs on toast, chicken and chips with potato salad, a cadbury caramel bar and now I'm having cucumber dipped in humus. I've…
  • Hey all! Helen - Glad you're enjoying the gym so much! 60 minutes is pretty impressive, you must burn so many calories. Remember to keep your hands to yourself, we don't want you getting banned from the gym for indecent behaviour  I have a confession to make too...last night my friend offered me some of those Aero…
  • Welcome to the group snorker! Weather's a bit pants today, isn't it?! Summer should definitely hurry up and get here. Thanks for the video Lorro, I'll give it a go when I go swimming today. Good luck Katherine!! Let us know how you get on and I hope your bum survives  Hope everyone has a good day today :drinker:
  • It took me a good few minutes of saying your name out loud before I got it  I've been having a mixed bean salad for lunch the past few days. It just different types of beans mixed up with your favourite salad dressing.
  • I can relate, I'm studying for my final exams at university at the minute. I've found planning my meals in advance and leaving allowances for a few snacks is a good way. I usually have raisins, almonds or kiwis to keep me going. I've also found that eating healthier has meant that I can study better, and the exercise helps…
  • Welcome to the group hgam1! You've already had such successful weight loss, you look amazing in your pics!! And your little girl is adorable :smooched: Glad you enjoyed the gym Helen! What sort of stuff did you do? I'd be way too scared to go, I know I'm just so unfit when it comes to high impact cardio. Cycling, swimming…
  • Morning all. Happy birthday Helen, hope you have a fabulous day in the sauna!! :flowerforyou: Hoping to make it to swimming today, desperately need some exercise. Feeling a wee bit better today, will go to the pharmacy to stock up on drugs. Planned a nice prawn thai green curry with onions and peppers and brown rice…
  • If you like nuts you could try them as a snack. They have a LOT of calories, but lots of good fats and protein.
  • Sowry! I hate cinnamon in food, but love the smell. I got a cinnamon lip balm and keep kissing all my flatmates so they stink of cinnamon for the rest of the day  p.s. How big are your hands?!
  • That sucks :frown: Is there any way around it? And $80,000 :noway: I won't moan about my £3,000 a year tuition fees ever again!
  • I did it with my mini boxes of raisins this afternoon. Little amuses the innocent
  • Hey everyone! Good luck with the bikeathon on Sunday Katherine, sounds tough going. Your bum is going to be soooooooore  Have you been training hard? Shoppie, lunch sounds good, I can never resist smothering my jacket potato in cheese and beans. Enjoy the cake, hope you have nice evening! The most exercise I got…
  • Never had 'em but they sound fun. You could pretend they're just normal oranges and make yourself feel like a giant
  • It's a dip type thing made from blended chick peas and garlic and other ingredients depending on which type you buy. It's really good for you! I usually have it with oat cakes or dip cucumber, carrot and celery in it yummy.
  • Sounds good Helen! And you can have your son's tastey fruit salad for desert  Must feel awesome to fit back into those jeans already!! I don't think I will go swimming today, I've got swine flu (or a cold...who knows) and lots of revision to do to make up for my skfhskh*$%^*$ essay mark. Would love to go swimming…
