3 times a week including cardio workout and 1-2 times a week of strength training is a good amount of working out. but make sure you space out your strength training to let your muscles recover.

Yea, running at the same pace gets very boring, I know what you mean. What I do to change it up when I have long running days is change up the speed with intervals. If you go to runningworld.com, there is a place where you can generate an interval training program. I find that when I do intervals, my heart rate is changing…

If you have cut down on your sugar consumption as well, that could be causing your headaches as well
-
I would have to agree with everyone else, you need to make sure you take in some more water :) see if that helps!
-
When you enter exercises, there is strength training under the cardio database, so you can try that out. I would also recommend getting a HRM (heart rate monitor) so that you can get a true estimate of how many calories you are burning during your workout. Hope this helps! Good Luck!

I have a woman's sportline HRM and really love it. It counts calories and laps for swimming as well.
-
I would think there was at least a big sodium different because Soy has a lot more salt in it than regular chicken. Just my thoughts though.
-
I think everyone is different and it all depends on where your heart rate is landing. Everyone's heart rate is different as well. It's kinda cool that you are burning more, wish I was...LOL I wouldn't worry about it too much. Good luck!

I am so happy to know that I am not the only one that is addicted to their HRM....LOL I got a Woman's Sportline HRM. I picked it out from Sears where they have all of their exercise equipment because it was recommended in Runner's Magazine and they also gave you a one year subscription as well to either Runner's Magazine…

Is your salt intake within the limits as well? Because you could just be retaining the water you are taking in. Also, sometimes it just takes your body a little bit to get used to a drastic change and its holding on to all of those good nutrients. Just hang in there and if you keep eating and working out the way you are,…

A lot of people say that you should but I only eat maybe 100 to 300 of my exercise calories because it slows down my weight loss. It is pretty much whatever works for you and how much you are trying to lose in one week. But make sure you eat when you are hungry because if you don't, then whatever you eat next, you're body…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Good luck at the gym and yea, take it easy cause a little cough could turn into a chest cold if you don't watch yourself. The gym will be fun cause you'll feel a lot better afterwards. Let us know how it goes!
-
Congrats on your loss and those other two pounds that you lost could be water weight as well. When you tend to start watching what you eat, your sodium levels might go down which can help in losing water weight as well. Either way, you did a great job and keep it up!

If she wants something that will help, Ensure is a drink that she can have but she has to get the kind that helps with weight gain. You can look up Ensure online and there are so many types but they do have one that will help gain weight the healthy way. I drink the regular Ensure for the protein after I am done working…

Swimming helps too cause it lengthens muscles as well

I bought flaxseed and it has a nutty taste but sometimes can have a texture of grittiness when added to certain foods. Put it with oatmeal and its great. I tried it in a smoothie and got the gritty taste. It is really good for you and it will help keep you regular as well!

Another program you can get into is Walk Away the Pounds. She has just the walking ones but then she has the ones where she will incorporate either a stretchy band, light hand weights, or other tools that come with the videos. You can find the videos at either target, walmart, amazon.com and other places that sells work…

look for a treadmill that is going to be good on your knees only because a hard service like a treadmill could put strain on your joints. They make ones that give way under the belt and those are good for walking or running. hope this helped!
