There are recipes out there for lower cal protein bars that you can make.

Sriracha and Mrs. Dash, not necessarily at the same time.

I have encountered some of the same things, overall, everyone has been very cool. I'm still mildly intimidated because I don't "look like" I should be doing weights and I am older.

Awesome JOB!!! You have every reason to be proud of yourself.

That's FANTASTIC!!! Keep up the great work and know that you are an inspiration to all of us!!

Love this. I am not a runner, but I go to the gym, and I still have to talk myself up to actually go in front of people and work out. I have printed this to place it on my fridge. Thank you for posting. :flowerforyou:

I have been gluten free for over 10 years too. Feel free to add me.

Anyone can add me, 5'4" 173. had lost 30#, got off track and gained back 15#, now focused on the right things. It really does help to have support from others!!!

Just for today, I will exercise for 30 minutes. :glasses:

This very eloquently says it all. Thanks for posting and putting it in black and white for us.

Just for today, I will behave myself.

I have had this issue for some time. I was sooo good last year, I managed to lose 28#, and then the bingeing took over. I have gained almost half of it back, which really pees me off. It is not about the willpower, I am seeing a counselor for this and I'm working on it. It is a constant struggle right now, and I do work…

Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! You should be VERY proud of your accomplishment!! Congratulations!!!

Glad I saw this today, it's monthly sale day at the health food store, I need to get sorghum, I can't wait to try them!! Thanks for posting.

I am proud of my self for not giving up!

Sadly my very first thought EVERY SINGLE DAY is about food. Been like that for years. Not something I am proud of, but it is the truth.

I agree, and let me just add that Chocolate Covered Katie has good HEALTHY recipes and she has a seciton for Gluten Free. Udi's Pizza crusts are my FAVE!!! Some of the stuff that is marketed as gluten free is just plain NASTY!!! My dog wouldn't even eat it. Add me if you like. Sharon

I did not binge yesterday and got off to a good start today!! Proud of myself.

I also gained 60# and am still working 10 years later to lose therest of it. I no longer take B12 shots, am no longer iron deficient, but still overweight.
-
I feel your pain. I am over 50 and ALWAYS feel like people are staring at me, even now. BUT... Just this past Sunday I was able to go BY MYSELF into the weights area at the gym and work out by myself. What I'm saying is "YOU GOT THIS!!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!" and like another poster said... Sweat is Fat CRYING!!! Let it cry…

I was diagnosed almost 11 years ago and I can relate. The smell of baking bread STILL gets to me, and there are days when I would practically kill for decent Pizza. That being said, I feel SOOOO much better now than I did BC(Before Celiac), I truly felt like I had been given my life back. The difference for me, is that…

I went cold turkey over 10 years ago, and it pretty literally gave me my life back. As I healed I gained nearly 60 # and am still working on getting it off, I have FAR more energy and I no longer look like a walking corpse. Now if I have a gluten poisoning incident, which is fairly rare now, the aftereffects are pretty…

Wow, that's some powerful stuff!!

I have the same issue with mine, and he sabotages me at every turn, I think he wants me to stay as I am.

Hello!!! I am gluten free and have been for about 10 years, I am celiac, and I try to eat fairly well, but I love carbs and sweets. My daughter eats super healthy so I try to do some of what she does. Feel free to add me if you like, although I travel a lot and sometimes don't check in every day. :)

After I was diagnosed I gained about 60#, I think my body was FINALLY able to absorb actual nutrients and decided it should store EVERYTHING, It's now 10 years later, and I have about 20# more to go. I was an absolute train-wreck when I was finally diagnosed. And... I have done a good bit of reading on the topic, and it's…

Oh my, please don't put yourself down like that. As others have said, you are moving in the right direction. You can make lots of positive changes with the support of you MFP family. Learn to love yourself as you are with all your quirks and faults as you continue your journey here.
-
that sounds yummy, would love to try the recipe. That's still something I miss after being gluten free for so long.
-
You can add me too! I have Celiac, and have been seriously binging, so any support is a good thing!!!

oooh, sounds YUMMY... May have to try with the big game this weekend.....
