  • Well, for a start from the CIA (you do know who the CIA is I assume?) Gini rating the US is below Iran, Cambodia & Nigeria. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_income_equality Crime rates (below, intentional homicide seems like a good indicator)…
  • I'll take that as a compliment.
  • "if you don't like America then you can get out" (Posted for ironic reasons) On a more serious note, how many more times are you going to suggest people who are unhappy with America should leave?. From an external pespective (over the pond) - I can't believe a country with so much material wealth let's people die of…
  • That's almost an appeal to emotion, what somebody says must be judged on the content on what they are saying - if somebody is rude or not is irrelevant - as it holds no bearing to the validity of the points being made. The same applies to polite people who attempt to please everybody who lack any actual content, it's…
  • I was thinking the same thing, It's almost like he thinks he's made at least a singular salient point on the subject which require debating - I'm still waiting for a cogent argument against gay marriage from anybody worth the wear on my keyboard. I won't hold my breath.
  • Most people I find who call themselves libertarians can't even define the ideology without opening up wikipedia.
  • I'm not calling you a bigot because you disagree with my point of view. I'm calling you a bigot because you fit the dictionary definition of one. "adjective having or revealing an obstinate belief in the superiority of one’s own opinions and a prejudiced intolerance of the opinions of others: eg - a bigoted group of…
  • I'm sorry to come in & trash this little view you have here. But marriage existed before Christianity, no singular religion has a monopoly on it & you wishing to deny others something which has nothing to do with you is bigotry. You are well entitled to having a "personal moral opinion", but me - I'd rather have a reasoned…
  • It depends on how you define atheism. Implicit atheism is "the absence of theistic belief without a conscious rejection - people born in the jungle are implicit atheists - as they are due to never hearing about a god - also, all babies are born without a belief system - it's taught (so this is the default position.…
  • Yes, but not a pertinent one.
  • Banning religious indoctrination isn't the same as banning religion. Nobody is stopping you from practicing whatever belief system you have at home, just no specific religion should be given preference in court houses or schools. You do know a little about your own constitution do you not? - the separation of church &…
  • Who has banned religion exactly in America?
  • Why would I feel any different about male circumcision?, it's mutilating the genital of another person without consent. The fact it's considered acceptable in some countries just shows a lack of social development. You seem to be missing the point, causes objective harm - it's not that complicated.
  • Being against something shouldn't be reason enough to legislate to ban it. Personally i'm against religion - but I don't seek to ban it, why? - because it's not the place of the state or any government to dictate preference (in situations in which others are not objectivly harmed) - neither should the power reside within…
  • While I agree with the sentiment, you can't use logic to talk somebody out of a position they didn't arrive at using logic..
  • Female genital mutilation causes objective harm, gay marriage doesn't.
  • Pretty much all I have to say on the issue.
  • Well, if you eat a reasonable amount of veggies it could be between 50 and 150 calories a day extra - so worth logging.
  • Cashew Nuts (if you have spare fat to use up) - should help for some of it 100+ calories per 20grams.
  • Well, my TDEE (according this http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html) website is 3121. My only concern is how to eat that much more than I am currently, I'm alreay 'ham fisting' in a number of high calorie snack type foods (nuts, 70% coco choc) over the day to up my calories to the 1,900 mark - while…
  • Yeah, not sure why MFP said 1,200 at first .., I've upped it to about 1,900 now - did your husband exercise on those calories? - as good to have somebody of a similar height/weight to compare with!. Cheers.,
  • Around 120g a day, mostly from chicken/prawns.
  • 202 pounds 5'10 - so about 20/25 pounds overweight (mostly of the gut) I don't look that fat, but I'm carrying plenty of extra weight, some of which is muscle from pervious lifting routines I've done - but I've got a belly to lose also.
  • Yeah - my main concern is ensuring I don't lose muscle mass (no interesting in losing weight on the scales if it's not fat I'm losing). My diet is pretty good (I think - open food diary)
  • Guy here, on day 4 of level 2 - it's a good workout (but I'd reccomend going for the advanced technique if you can) & make sure you use bigger weights (I'm using 2 10 pound ones atm, aim to switch to higher next week) - swapping those weights makes it quite a good workout for guys also (has me half dead by the end of level…
