  • I’m signed up! Returning to both OTF and MFP after long absences. Hoping that doing both consistently will jumpstart things! Good luck with your challenges!!
  • I know he was canceled for other reasons, but I thought Bikram’s story about recovering from injury was really fascinating (as is his wild method of very addictive yoga). One idea, and I remember reading his book, just not sure if it was good! If you want just general life inspiration, Linda Olson’s GONE is excellent!! Not…
  • Congratulations on the baby! How amazing are you to even be thinking of health so soon after?! I had my baby 5 months ago and haven’t lost almost anything since leaving the hospital! I had packed on weight (60lb!) and apparently it wants to be part of the family, too... Would love to support you! You can do this. The fact…
  • I got the Beachbody app and do the workouts either while baby naps or while she watches me - some of them entertain her! It doesn’t work every single day. But it works most days and it feels fantastic to work out hard. I’m doing 80 day obsession and highly recommend it!
  • Just like everyone here, I’m trying to get back to my healthiest for my baby. I have a 4 month old and 25-30 lbs to go! I love being back on MFP but am struggling with forcefeeding myself some days to meet the calorie requirements when I just wanna shed all this!! Would love some new friends on this adventure !
  • I’m in the same boat! Always up for more motivation pals!
  • “Hey life happens” is my story, too! Good luck on your MFP comeback!
  • You have such a great attitude. I love that you're prescribing smiles to yourself! So true. I went through rough parts this year and just watched my belly grow and grow- my waistline is the one tiny thing about me! It was infuriating and it's just self-cycling. The point is, I think making a conscious decision to fake it…
  • Hi! I agree - I met with a nutritionist yesterday and she said 1200 was below what I would burn lying in my bed doing nothing all day, so I HAD to eat more than that if I wanted to register normal weight loss. Try bumping it up just a little bit! Another tip she gave me that no one has ever told me is to mix a carb with a…
  • you CAN do it! i think the first thing is just telling ourselves we can :) mind over matter! someone recently pointed out to me that it tends to work better when you log/look up what you want to eat BEFORE doing it; that way, you go into calories eyes open. i am going to stop making those "red" points days even a…
  • Love this, and would love some new MFPs, if any of you are looking for a pal! I'm 34 and am 5'2 on a good day ;) 5'7 if I have my cute shoes on! CW 127.8 GW 123 UGW 123, although ideally I'd love to ultimately get below 120. I will weigh in once a week. I weighed today, so I guess Mondays are good, if a little evil :)…
  • 5'1/2.... If only our weight corresponded to our height in heels! Would love some friends who understand the challenges of being shorter. I'm pretty athletic but I have some curves!!! If anyone out there wants a new Pal to lose these extra lbs with, pls feel free to add me :)
  • i agree! we were talking about this the other day. there are tons of people who show their diaries (and maybe they're the same people likely to encourage you?!), i'm sure you'll find them on here!
  • San Diego (a transplant from chicago, and I am NEVER GOING BACK, I'm solar-operated) New on here, would love some pals to be all fit with ;)
  • I'm signing up for next year's half! I want to run for Real Medicine Foundation. If you consider doing it again, I hope you'll msg me!
  • well obviously you're doing something right, because you've got a great loss posted already :) but yes, i have the same- i think by the end of the day i'm just freaking exhausted and make poor choices because of it. i'm not totally hydrated, i don't have a properly stocked fridge, whatever it might be (example: today i…
  • amen, girlfriend! we sound very similar! i LOVE working out, but i probably eat a lil more than i need to. will add you :)
  • Without knowing your relationship all I can say is that you sound very clear-headed and aware of what does/not work for you in this relationship, which is great! If you are close enough with your boyfriend that you moved in with him, is discussing it an issue? As for not knowing people in the new town, the fact is that if…
  • Hi, My name is Lilly, and I am a Starbucksaholic ;) Great suggestions and posts. Lately I have been trying to taper coffee a little (GASP!) so the nonfat, sugar-free chai has been my option. In the past I have tried to lower my latte and do a "misto" instead, which is steamed milk and house coffee- it ends up being a…
  • I noticed you were recording times on your diary - what a great idea. I definitely have hunger "times", so I should pay attention to what those are and to spacing out my food. I tend to starve-starve-starve (read: get super caught up in something I'm doing, not intentional), then eat for a village! ;)
  • Thank you guys for all this great advice! I really like the idea of scheduling breaks in, even better if they're walks around the block. I'm guilty of looking up and it being 3 hours later, so stretch breaks would be a good idea, I should set my phone. I will try this and keep you guys posted! I also love the idea of…
  • hi everyone! i have a marketing and business strategy company, so i coach new and small businesses in how to brand themselves and grow. so my schedule is totally erratic, i'm eternally hunched over the keyboard, and i'm dangerously close to my refrigerator at all times ;) i don't make horrible eating choices (usually!) but…
  • thanks, i will check that out instead!
  • I'd definitely be sure to stretch - I used to be guilty of not stretching enough, and when you do, you will feel *much* less pain. Also, stay hydrated. The worst leg pains and cramps can come from that. One book that got me through my early running days was The NonRunner's Guide to Marathon Training For Women by Dawn Dais…
