What's your definition of affordable?

Tell us some of the things you like to eat and let us find healthy alternatives for you. That way, you can take them with you and NOT eat what's at work (or eat the healthy alternatives at home, so you're not tempted to eat them at work). I have modified just about every recipe I love - I'm a serious foodie and can…

Do you know why you're struggling? If you can answer that question, great! If not, then that's where you need to start. If it's because it all seems overwhelming, start by making small changes. Add exercise to your routine. Once you get that going, then start working on portion control. Then, move on to making changes in…

Best answer ever! I could never do something like that to someone, but I love it anyway! lol

I would have determined the amount being chipped in ahead of time to avoid confusion. That said, maybe he is asking for clarification - and would be entirely OK with $40 each. Have you asked him or clarified for him?

You've got me beat - I'm not quite that bad. lol

My favorite lol

I eat everything on my plate one item at a time, in a clockwise rotation. I rarely mix foods together, but I'm OK with casseroles/one-pot type dishes. But, if they start out separate on my plate, they will most likely stay that way.

My husband has no issue with it. He loves cuddling our 23 mo old daughter when we wake up in the AM. But, she also has her own cozy little bed she gets tucked into every night - she just ends up in our bed sometimes in the wee hours of the morning a lot of nights. Somehow, we managed to have enough husband/wife relations…

Probably this.

Pumping is a great way to make a mom *feel* like a cow, so maybe that's why more people find it acceptable??? :flowerforyou:

Based on A, a woman with amazing intellect would have already figured out that the dude was hot for her and was asking her out on a date. If B and 4 happened, then my guess would be that the male co-worker chloroformed said hot/smart chick to get her in the car in the first place. At this point, she would be looking for…

One of the first thoughts that popped into my head when I saw it was, "How is he going to feel about this cover when he's an adult?" Who knows - maybe he will be fine with it. But, I guarantee he will dread the locker room in HS if it rears its ugly head during his teen years.

I love what you said about not feeling like you have to check mark each aspect of attachment parenting. I actually posted the mag cover on my FB status and a really good discussion resulted from it. Part of the discussion was about the "Mommy wars" and how moms on either side of the fence can make the other feel badly for…

I was just curious about your thoughts on EBF vs. not EBF. What you do about the comments being flung around are your business. lol
-
Would you agree, though, that attachment parenting does not have to include EBF? I have done attachment parenting with all four of my kids, but the longest I nursed any of them was 12 monhts (12 months for the oldest, 10 months for the next two, and still nursing the baby). They seem very well adjusted and I get told that…

Except we don't' let our kids suck on said cow teet... I don't find it disgusting. Not my personal preference (and I am currently BFing baby #4), but your statement here isn't logical.

My hubs loves my hair long. In fact, when I cut it to just below shoulder length last Fall, he considered that short. lol It's now almost halfway down my back again. :) Hubs keeps his hair cut military-style and I love it!

Not exactly what I was expecting when I opened the thread... I never went back to my ex after I left him - I figured his new woman could have my sloppy seconds and I certainly wasn't going to double dip. Last I heard she stalks him by phone all the time b/c she's afraid he's cheating on her or something. Karma's a bizzo,…

Best post ever! :D

My parents lived there for almost 3 years. Beautiful area!

That stinks. :( My hubby was Army for 6 years - thank you for your service. Praying for your safe return home to your little guy. :)

Florida here. :)

4, 2 boys (10 and 7) and 2 girls (almost 2 and 3 1/2 months). We're done. Hubs got snipped while I was preggers with #4.

My husband has a step-dad and a step-mom and we do cards/gifts for both of them. When I was a stepmom, my step kid's mom would buy me birthday or Christmas presents from the step kid (and her), but Mother's Day was reserved for her and I totally respected that. I don't think there is a right or wrong answer to your…

My parents did some major damage to my body image when I was growing up. They constantly compared my body to my sister's body - we have totally different body types! I never got a straight compliment out of them. It was always followed by some kind of disclaimer... "You look nice in that outfit, but you'd look better if…

Maybe you need to focus less on the number on the scale (i.e. losing weight) and more on toning/strengthening. The number on the scale may not change that drastically...and may even stay the same or go up, but your clothes will fit better and you will feel better/healthier overall. Of course, that's just a stab in the dark…
