  • 38 now, live in Florida. First was at 27 Last was 3 days after my 38th birthday. There are two in between. :)
  • Congratulations on this momentous day! :flowerforyou:
  • I'm not from Beaver, PA - but my dad grew up in Aliquippa. Does that count? lol
  • Muscle shirts are always in style. Especially when paired with brightly patterned parachute pants.
  • Worthy of being shirtless or not, I commend them for being confident enough to NOT care what other people think. I was once given the wise advice to "OMG!! Just look away!!!!" here on the forums and I'm now passing it on to you, OP. lol Is it classy or appealing to you for them to go shirtless? Maybe not. But, if they're…
  • We set a 5lb hand weight on our scale to calibrate it. Sadly, the number I see every morning is correct. lol However, I have been taking my measurements and now prefer the tape measure over the scale. While the scale may not be moving much in a favorable direction these days, I have lost a total of 5 3/4" overall off my…
  • ewww. I would totally junk punch some dude if he did that to me.

  • This post wins the thread! Spot on. :)
  • Lucky for me, I got it at a pretty young age and learned that it only takes about 3-4 dates to weed out the dudes that are just looking to get laid. If they hadn't gotten it by then, they gave up and I kept my dignity.
  • Sadly, guys like him don't usually make false promises. They do say they just want sex and there are always women who think *she* will be the one to change him. Then, when she isn't, heartbreak happens and he says, "I told you so".
  • ^^^As much as reading this makes my skin crawl for all the women out there who put up with guys like this, the man speaks truth. Now on to my thoughts - OP, do you want to call/text him or not? I hope the answer is no, honestly. You need to put the on again-off again boyfriend in the past and leave him there. Find it in…
  • Strip while panhandling. People would either pay me for taking my clothes off or pay me to put them back on again with a quickness. Either way, it would be a win/win for me. :glasses: If I'm honest, though - panhandling over stripping any day of the week if it came down to one of those two options being the only way to put…
  • Thank you for this link. I've been suspecting that I needed to increase cardio to get the scale moving again and that blog post pretty much confirmed my suspicions. I've been wanting to start the C25K program, so now will be a good time to do just that!
  • Well, my guess is that your thread will get largely ignored or someone will sarcastically post that you just want everyone to sit around singing Kumbaya - or some other equally snarky response. Shall we take bets on which will happen? There's not a lot of love around here - a lot of people seem to think hunger…

  • That would be like me saying that *I* have given birth three times with no epidural (which, I have) - so, if I can do it anyone can. Seriously?
  • Why do you think this behavior is unique to today? lol I see it every day, several times a day.

  • As of Friday at 5:00 PM EST, I will be a SAHM again! :) I have 4 kids - 10, 7, 2, 5 months. Any other moms feel free to add me - just let me know you found me on this thread. :)
  • Too much drama. That's likely not to change just because you've been apart for some months now. They say it can take half the length of a relationship to heal from it after it's over. If you went on a date but ended up thinking about the ex, you simply aren't ready to start dating again. If you're recovering from anorexia,…

  • So true. On the rare occasion that I do go to McD's or Wendy's, I get a grilled chicken sandwich minus mayo or a grilled salad. I rarely eat fast food fries - I can't stand the oil slick that gets left on the roof of my mouth.
  • I did exactly what you're suggesting in the OP. I asked if *people* really think any/everything should be deep fried. I'm pretty sure I didn't blame the food. It's people making this disgusting stuff and people choosing to consume it, sometimes in large quantities. So, yeah, I totally blame people for obesity.
  • Fat = flavor? Not in my world. Seasonings and the such = flavor.
  • I said most. You're one person. Clearly you wouldn't fall into the category of "most". My comment was that most people who would eat deep fried stuff at the fair (whatever it is) would most likely eat it all year round.
  • Careful, you might get the ED police on you for making a joke like that. lol
  • My husband would love for us to invest in a fry daddy or whatever the deep friers are called. It's never gonna happen! lol And, he's naturally thin and eats whatever he wants. Me? I have to be very careful about what I eat and how much I eat, especially now that I'm dealing with thyroid problems. Hateful! lol
  • All of the above? You mentioned that you've deep fried that stuff at home. So, I'm guessing you ate it mre than 2-3 times a year? I'm pretty sure I didn't say it was *THE* reason for obesity. But, it's obviously a contributing factor. Deep fried food doesn't just exist at the fair. Fast food chains everywhere would shut…
  • Shock factor, trendy factor... whatever the reason or draw, it still sounds disgusting and only serves to make a fat nation fatter. Yes, I get that it's a choice and all about self-control.
  • Of course it's a choice. I never said it wasn't. Now, some deep fried alcohol...that I could wrap my brain around!
