  • I know many people who have been banned from her facebook page, most because they asked "why" and for science to back her up. Instead of having an adult conversation (which would show she doesn't know what she is talking about) she just blocks people. Real mature, right?
  • Like others said, if you hate it, don't do it. I tried becoming a runner last summer, I hated it, then injured myself, so I couldn't do it. That made me look into other ways to get cardio and now I mostly cycle, with some elliptical mixed in.
  • I cycled 21 miles yesterday. A year ago I was 325 pounds and could hardly walk more than 20 minutes at a time.
  • I'm not sure what you are saying or asking. But yeah, at home wear whatever feels comfortable and makes you happy
  • 45 pounds to go, but I started at 325, which means I am much closer to 200 than my starting weight!! Slow & steady, I'll get there :)
  • Whatever you enjoy and will keep on doing.
  • I love my pressure cooker! I've found many recipes from http://www.hippressurecooking.com/pressure-cooker-recipes/, she does a great job. Enjoy!
  • Why wait until Monday? Start today!
  • Yes, to add to the many others, small goals! Needing to lose about half of your body weight can seem like a lot. So, for now just lose 5 pounds, celebrate it, and lose another 5 pounds. It is much less daunting to do it that way!
  • Just logging and seeing what you have been eating is going to help a lot! I started at 325 (currently 245). For me food was comfort and a boredom buster, I mostly ate without even thinking of it, so logging food and being aware of it has helped me lose 80 pounds so far. MFP is great at food awareness! As long as you are…
  • IF you don't like it, then don't use it. If you want to workout, find something that you enjoy and do it.
  • Unless you have a diagnosed medical issue, there is no reason to completely cut out sugar. Elimination diets generally don't work long term. Work on moderation, I still eat sugar, just a lot less than I used too, I've lost 79 pounds so far, and ate a delicious (90 calorie) cookie last night.
  • Yep, this! I've lost 79 pounds so far, and have eaten back a good majority of my exercise calories. Anytime in the past when I haven't eaten them back, I'd just end up hungry and just give up, then gain it all back. MFP is set up with the NEAT method. But yes, if you don't have a hrm, stick to around half of what MFP tells…
  • I started at 325, and currently 246, so I'm still obese. I do plan on losing a lot more, but even if I did stop right now, and maintain at 246, I am still much, much healthier than I was at 325. Plus my quality of life has greatly improved. BMI is a flawed metric, any weight you lose will be beneficial. Your goal weight is…
  • I agree with above, with the right mindset, you can do this! I started at 325 and am around 245 right now. Just keep focused and make sure every day you are keeping your goal in mind. It takes a lot of consistency, but is totally doable. I am going to add you to my friend list!
  • MY husband & I have both had this problem, we are temporary fixing the issue two different ways. I bought a smaller, thin stacking band to wear in front of my set, which blocks my big rings from falling off. My husband bought a cheap temporary ring from Amazon. We only want to re-size once, so this works fine until then!
  • I have a pair of Shimano touring shoes and am waiting for Nashbar's sandals to show up in my mailbox. I don't do touring, but I love that with touring shoes (and Shimano in general) that they are better for a wide foot, and the touring shoes are easy ones to walk around in when I'm not riding. I hope to wear the sandals…

  • Like most people said, yes, you can still eat a cheeseburger. I've lost 77 pounds and eat a wonderful burger (with bacon & cheese) every 2-3 weeks. Make it fit into your day. Weight loss shouldn't mean deprivation.
  • 77 pounds. Eat less, move more, nice & simple.
  • Anything that you enjoy and will get you moving! I started at 325 pounds, just with diet, then walking, then I added in swimming and an indoor recumbent bike. (Recumbent is the kind with a full seat and the pedals placed in a very low impact way) Walking was really easy, I didn't need much for supplies and I could just go.…
  • My husband will make a Thai style noodle dish with pb2, basically he used it to make a great peanut sauce

  • My husband and FIL are both homebrewers, I usually just ask them what it is kind of close too, and I just guess from there. However, some of the links/suggestions above look pretty good too!
  • You can only scan food in using the app on your phone, it is not able to be done from the website
  • It takes me about 2 minutes, and that is if I'm doing a larger meal. When I first started it took longer, but it gets easier as you go. Save things you eat often as a meal or a recipe, then it is just a few seconds to log. Good luck!
  • Leftover pumpkin/lentil/rice from dinner a couple nights ago.
  • Like PP's said, those are targeted ads, based on your browsing history. However, install an ad blocker and you don't have to worry about seeing any ads on any websites, I even don't get the annoying ads when I watch Hulu (even though Hulu knows this and just makes we wait in silence with a screen telling me to turn off ad…
  • Yay! Many congratulations
  • It took 9 months and 75 pounds, but yesterday I finally weighed what my driver's license says I weigh!
