The MFP cals look completely wrong. Looks like it has logged it as running, not walking.

I enjoy my early morning run at the weekend so much that I have no problem getting up for it. I also find that I sleep better when I'm exercising, so my midweek (evening) runs mean it's easier to get up.

I find once I get warmed up, I'm really uncomfortable in anything more than a short-sleeved t-shirt and shorts. Even in single digit Celsius temperatures. It's only when it gets to sub-zero that I think about wearing my fleece long-sleeved running top.

I'd go with the stress/depression angle. It's hard for anyone to talk about that kind of stuff, but especially men. And there may be a myriad of causes, possibly interlocking and not all of them obvious. Good luck.

Vaseline works for me. Without it, the longer the run and the wetter it is, the worse the soreness is. Luckily, I can do a half marathon without any actual bleeding.

Well, it's not like anything anyone else has posted. But nothing beats this song for me (especially 1:25 onwards): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ6Sk8Aj-SQ

I agree with the above posters. Make what you'd normally make, but freeze or refrigerate half of it. I'm afraid I don't entirely practise what I preach. When Mrs N is away, I tend to eat much more unhealthily and giant portions :-(

I found this too, when I first started running. After a few days, they stopped aching. And the next time I ran, they hurt less as the muscles got used to their new exercise. Nowadays they don't hurt at all. Stick at it!
