I've come across doctors like that while doing rounds in the hospital and some are even way too snobby. I guess it's just the status don't know But the most important thing is, do YOU feel you can do it. What everyone else around you is saying doesn't matter. As long as you aren't severely restricting your calories , you…

That's kind of uncalled for... Not all doctors are rude. As a medical student myself, I can certainly say that doctor was rude to you but not all would be that mean. You can definately do it! Don't be upset and stay strong :)

Honestly what I take away from this entire dieting and exercise change is that we'll always face challenges when it comes to dining out or having cravings. I always plan for it and it's okay to want to indulge once in a while, just have some self control and portion control. I honestly think you should have about a cup, if…

Thanks :) I'll look into it

Yah I figured it couldn't be as high as other people were saying on some yoga forums (like 700-1000 calories!?) I usually log around 300-450.

Which one do you think is good? I'm not too familiar with the chest strap ones

I get what you're saying completely. I guess I am one of those people who got married young (23) but no kids yet (26 now) and not planning on any yet , not until a year or 2. The only thing that sucks is when you lose touch with good friends because they're so busy. I completely understand but it's always hard. I try to…

Yoga. I'm in love with it. Listening to music helps me too, and maybe even dancing around to it :P

count me in too :)

Everyone's body is different when they work out. Some sweat a lot and others don't. I wouldn't worry too much about it, rather stay hydrated and keep track of your heart rate and how many calories you're burning. Sweating a lot doesn't necessarily mean you're burning more calories than someone who doesn't sweat. :)

Agree :)

You girls are too funny LMAO I can't stop laughing at some of these comments

It's funny because with me and my husband it was reversed. He's a gym addict and has an amazing body and I've always been chubby and I got into the gym a few years ago. Sometimes you can have an affect on your partner in a good way. I owe him for introducing me to the gym. When we were dating he never pushed me into it,…

1. I'm a medical student 2. I love indian films 3. Me and my husband eloped and got married in europe :) 4. I always have bad luck while travelling (suitcase goes missing or doesn't arrive, miss flight, etc) 5. Fuzzy peaches (the candy) makes me want to vomit. I don't know why.. I'm weird.

Always give it your all or go home. Failure is a chance to perfect myself. I am responsible for my body and I deserve to be healthy.

I had the same problem when I started so I knew I needed to exercise so I would be able to eat a bit more. I find that my body is satisfied if I eat around 1400. So I made it a habit to burn some calories with exercise so I was still hitting a net of around 1200. Also, what are you eating? I found that processed, packaged…

simply amazing! You look gorgeous :)

I wouldn't mind if my husband told me that IF he offered some advice or some tips on how to get rid of the weight. Actually my hubby and I are best friends first , so I would want him to tell me. I don't want someone else saying it instead! That would just be downright embarrassing. So I would appreciate the honesty…

I switched to healthier snacks in between meals, like fruits, rice cakes, jello.. I also try to avoid drinking pop, sugary juices and try to get as much water in a day as I can. I also notice when I work out, I'm less likely to feel hungry.. it's weird but true. Eat as raw as you can, try to avoid anything that's packaged…

I need to personally stop weighing myself everyday.. I can't help it and it doesn't help that the scale is under the sink in the bathroom.. It is discouraging sometimes when the weight has gone up by a bit or hasn't moved at all. Try keeping a single day and time each week and only check your weight then. I also have to…

I log as I go along.

I tried not eating back the calories because I wanted to see my weight drop. But it was stupid and never lasted. After a few days, I felt weak, tired all the time and got headaches while working out. I try to eat back my calories now and I'm still losing weight. I also don't feel so crappy anymore like it's some impossible…

for me it's steamed veggies or I love soups and salads. soups always fill me up and they have alot now which are low in calories.
-
happens to me all the time, you're not alone! I try to keep water with me at all times , and snack on healthy things like the rice cakes are a good alternative to chips.

I feel like that too often but stay positive. You WILL reach a healthy weight and you WILL look hot and sexy in the next photo you take of yourself. Staying positive and having small goals keeps me on track. You're doing great by the way, 11 lbs lost is great :)
