A lot of people say that the breakfast rule is a myth. Maybe for them it is. However, for me it's true. A few years ago I decided that I was going to eat breakfast every morning, this was before I decided to try to lose weight, no matter what time I got up (I work night shifts) I made myself eat breakfast. I permanently…

my boyfriend sent me this picture, it makes me smile and makes me want to do more.

i have family like that, and they don't say it to be hurtful, they just say things like that because it's their sense of humor. i went down 2 pant sizes and i'm ECSTATIC. my brother still makes fat jokes (even though i am sexy as hell) because that's always been our family dynamic i guess. be proud when you feel proud, and…

Once a week. My boyfriend hides the scale on me till them because I've been known to obsess and weigh myself multiple times a day.

i've ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS been heavier. And honestly I'm 24 pounds down, and I'm a little scared to continue because I've never been a thin person. Since I was a kid I would eat when I was bored, emotional, or because it was there and I knew by the time I was hungry my brothers would eat it lol I mean, it shouldn't really…

This is true, but summer is also the BEST time for fresh fruits and vegetables. I love the thought of swimming and a big slice of watermelon! You burn more calories than you know, especially when you're outside enjoying the weather. I've heard a lot of people say the gym is for fall and winter, but in the summer they have…

I don't know what is considered "clean" I hear this a lot but I'm a picky eater too. I have recipes if you want.

i've been told and read that you shouldn't every day because it fluctuates so much day to day. if the scale is there i will weigh myself multiple times a day, however, my boyfriend hides it from me until it's time for my weekly weigh in and i actually kind of prefer it that way. lol

i was wondering the same thing i'm a 42-44 DDD

I'm really glad that other people have gone through this too or should I say I'm glad that I'm not the only one. Maybe there is no good way to say it, but thanks, guys, it comforts me a little knowing that other people have, so to speak, survived and succeeded despite the negative and toxic people around them. Just gotta'…

"it's never too late to be what you might have been" George Elliott i hear it in my head everywhere i go, and everything i do. it's got me this far, and so far this far has been pretty good.

I had that problem LAST weekend, when we went to the car show in the Dells, just got to make sure you burn some of it off, and most importantly ENJOY! :drinker:

honestly, i'm a self proclaimed caffeine addict, but since i started trying to lose weight i've cut down, i have my morning coffee (1 or 2 cups) and maybe a small soda or coffee later on if i want. from what i've read, caffeine in moderation won't hurt you, it's the stuff in it like cream and sugar that make it not so…

In a 2011 national survey from the Calorie Control Council, 17 percent of Americans admitted to skipping meals to lose weight. The problem is, skipping meals actually increases your odds of obesity, especially when it comes to breakfast. A study from the American Journal of Epidemiology found that people who cut out the…

Well, you took the first step and recognized it, and now you're taking action. When I first started I just made sure I was at my calorie goal every day and did light exercise. I get discouraged easily so I didn't want to work out so much that my muscles were sore because that would give me a reason not to. I started with…

For recipes you can go to www.allrecipes.com they have a whole section for crock pot/slow cookers. also, i would get a bigger one to, then it doesn't limit what you can make.

it took me almost a week to tell my boyfriend (he had school and work so i had the house to myself a lot) 2 weeks to tell my mom and best friend and as of right now that is it. the people are my work are very close knit, but i decided not to because i don't want everyone watching me. plus, it's fun to have a secret, and it…

Make sure you eat breakfast, I know it's cliche but it's true, a couple years ago, before I began to try to lose weight, I decided to eat breakfast every day no matter what time I got up, just to see if it improved my energy. I permanently lose 10 pounds, and having three meals a day, even if they're small is helpful. But,…

that's what i always referred to myself as, the "fat friend" and i was okay with it for a while, then i just became embarrassed by it. my best friend of 11 years has always told me that she couldn't picture me skinny because "my body is so proportional" being the size i was. i don't know if it was her trying to make me…

They say it takes 28 days to build a good habit and one day to mess it all up. I find having friends on here helps me stick with it. It's nice to have people that want to see you succeed and it makes you want to succeed because everyone is so supportive. So add away and let the world MFP cheer you on even past the finish…

i just checked it out, and you're right there is no way to edit without deleting, or adding notes, and I looked and I didn't see a way for you to organize your recipes. Sorry, I didn't have any answers for you.

I started at the beginning of April on DailyStrength, where I was set up with a weight loss buddy, and she turned me on to MFP. I started tracking my calories. At first I just wanted to be at my 1800 goal, it's hard for a fat chick to just stop eating and I wasn't ready to fail again. I was very self conscious, it took me…
