I'm 5'4", and just make it into the shorty group. Currently 137, looking to lose 17 lbs and make it to 120. I managed to lose 10lbs last year, but it all came back :( My 29th birthday was yesterday...I'll be fabulous by 30!

As long as you can keep it under control, sweet! I have plain or vanilla yogurt with fruit, usually berries. If i am having the plain yogurt sometimes i'll put on a little honey too. makes me feel like i'm getting dessert and a little reward, not depriving myself. Yum!

Happy Canada Day all! Planning on doing some heavy yard work with my husband today. I've been doing really well with my water, and have gotten in at least 30min per day of exercise. Mine has those ridges too. It's sections of bright colors made of a dense foamy type stuff. I think i got the 3lb hoop. The box says to be careful at first because it may cause bruising. I love dark chocolate covered cranberries or ginger. It's sweet, chocolaty, and makes me feel like i got a treat, but they aren't too bad in the way of fat/sugar since you don't need to eat many. That's about what i've heard before. From personal experience though, i found that 3 min. of running as a starting point is HARD! I started out doing run 1 min, recovery 1 min. then kept upping the run time. I have a lot of hills around here though, so maybe the longer intervals will work for others. Just sayin'.

I have shin splints too. The things that hurt the most are running/jogging and lunges, at least for me. I found that avoiding high impact exercises in that area is what works. Now, i ride my bike instead of running, and you can do leg exercises with a stretchy band while sitting in a chair or laying on the ground! Stretch…

That sounds pretty good, although it looks like most people have around 10-15 lbs that they want to lose, and Labor day is only 2 months away. Supposedly losing a pound a week is healthy, which would only be about 8lbs lost before that date. Just sayin'.
