Is 1500 calories a day what MFP recommended or what you decided on? Make sure you follow the MFP goals for you... and I think calories are more important than the other stuff. Some walking might be good for you.... or swimming.

First, if you feel like you are starving and weak, then you are and you need to increase your calorie intake. I would suggest going by the MFP goal calculators and make your goal 1 pound a week. That will give your calorie intake amount. If your body is starving, then it is not going to let go of its precious calories…

You could try replacing the cereal with a healthier one, like a kashi cereal or bran cereal. And you can replace the butter with coconut oil/butter. And for the chocolatey drizzle, try dark chocolate or nutella. But, I do not think the marshmallow are replaceable.
