  • I am still pretty new into this myself. But, from what I understand, the body is attacking something in itself that it thinks is damaged, diseased, bad, etc. Like in celiac disease, gluten triggers the body to attack the cells in the small intestine. In chronic iritis, the immune system attacks cells in the eye because it…
  • I have celiac disease which is an auto immune disease. An auto immune disease is not where your immune system attacks itself, it is where it is attacking something that it thinks is a danger when really it is not. In my case that is gluten. I am not taking medication for this as I do not see where medication would help me…
  • Keep going! This is a journey for sure and its hard work with ups and downs. Don't give up! You're worth it!

  • I have a Cervelo road bike. And I do not have access to bike classes because I do not belong to a gym. Finances are a bit tight to belong to a gym.... I'm thinking about getting back on it and seeing how I like it this time....Its been a few months so maybe I needed a little break. We will see..... for now running and…
  • Thank you! I guess I haven't enjoyed it because its uncomfortable and I haven't felt successful. I do not have a trainer and I am a single mom of two little boys so I was riding as much as I could given the time I had. Maybe a trainer would be worth the investment. Thank you so much! I am riding a (really nice) hand me…
  • That's probably true. I have thought about investing in a trainer so that I can train more.
  • Thank you guys! Yes, as far as rides go, I need to work on nutrition. Normally, I would ride one 30 miler a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less depending on what my schedule would permit. I think that combination of unsuccessful rides and just being uncomfortable in general made my dislike for biking that much worse. I…

  • I have 3-4 tupperware containers in my attic of my fat clothes. I have been holding onto them "just in case." I thought for a little while m y husband and I were going to try to have another baby, and I wanted to hold onto them so that as I lost baby weight I would not have to buy all new things. But, that's not happening.…

  • It was a lot of fun!
  • I was really nervous my first one and couldn't calm myself down. This was only my second ocean swim and I spent probably the first 100 yards telling myself to calm down. It went great! One thing that has helped me is having a powerade in the transition so I can get at least a little of the salt water taste out of my mouth…
