I'm doing low carb. Pretty darn successful so far!

1200 calories is for weight loss, not for maintaining a weight. I put my limit 1300. That silly 100 calories has made a difference in how I feel and I am still losing slowly but steadily. Consider this: at a measly 1/2 pound a week, next year this time you will be 24 pounds lighter.

1) Avoid processed food at all costs 2) Eat more fresh veggies 3) Watch your fruit content 4) Eat lean proteins and make sure you eat enough of them 5) No creamy salad dressing that you have not made yourself out of yogurt. 6) Underestimate your exercise, overestimate your food! 7) Keep it interesting. 8) Don't deprive…

Just knowing the numbers on what I put in my face, I lost 18 pounds and am wavering there. Now it's time for me to get serious. The rest is not going to fall off on its own. :-)

You are not doing yourself any favors there. If you are that active, there is no way you are going to survive on 1200 calories a day. 1200 calories a day is an amount for someone who is relatively sedentary. You need to eat more!

You can eat just about anywhere, as long as you plan ahead!

I have nothing to lose but weight..... how about if we be friends?
-
Have you been doing measurements? How is your stamina? Do you have less jiggle? Weight is not the only thing......

If you put the effort into it and be honest about your food and activity, then YES it works!

Look into Soma. They are supportive and have a line that does not cut into your back. For the longest time I had worn full coverage bras from VC or Fredericks. Go for Fredericks first. And still had to wear a Genie bra on top of it. Some times it's a booger have huge honkers.

10-13 glasses a day

Guaranteed, you will always get snarky responses from a lot of people here.

It sounds like you are on a ramen noodle budget right now! I think we have all been there at least a few times. Even now I still 'brown bag it'. I take my lunch, I take snacks. I try to always have a clue what I am going to have for dinner too. It is less expensive and I get to control the ingredients.

Eat More. Get your thyroid checked. Talk to your doctor, maybe a dietitian too.
-
Good Heavens! That certainly was uncalled for. Maybe that person really does need a snickers bar! You are welcome on my page.

It's about choices. I would be starving on the food you described. I avoid drinking my food. I like to eat! You can eat a huge healthy salad until it is coming out your ears and have less calories than a PB&J and be satisfied. Crackers? No way. It is recommended to eat some good protein for your breakfast.

I try to always eat a bit above my BMR but below my TDEE. I have managed to lose 50 pounds that way.

The best $24 I have spent was for my digital food scale.

Well Done!

MFP sets the protein levels low. Too low for me! You can go in and adjust your %age.

I have none. I love my mother-in-law and she loves me.

I use the protein powders and mixes from Herbalife. They also have a clear fruit flavored protein drink that is 80 calories and 15 grams of protein and other more typical options. I don't depend on them daily, but I sure do like the convenience when I need an extra boost in that area.

It is not just your TSH that matters. What was your T4?
-
Your ticker says you have lost 23 pounds so all is not hopeless. Get your t4 and tsh checked to see if you are on the right dosage. Then eat clean and exercise more. Add strength training if you have not already.

Clear spirits are typically the lowest in calories and have the least impact on sugar. Vodka is normally my favorite pick.

Quinoa for me as well. It is so versatile and has much better nutrition balance than couscous.

LMHO! My husband gets into the kitchen and the resulting disaster is worse than to do the cooking myself.

This. But I go after my protein to keep it up at 40%.
