Hi! I have been tracking my food consistently since June, but I am new to the boards. I wanted to take a minute and introduce myself.

I've you dieted, tried a lot of different diets, but couldn't stick to anything or find anything that worked. Since June though, I've lost 29 pounds. I started at 205, and I'd like to get down to at least 160, but hopefully 140. I'll see how I things go.

I'm under the care of a dietician and an Endocrinologist, eating mostly protein. Once I get closer to my goals, I'll bring back more carbs and work on maintenance.

That's the nuts and bolts! I also like gardening, making music, cats, and cooking.

Thanks for reading!

Oops! That second paragraph should say, "I've tried a lot of different diets..."!

Just knowing the numbers on what I put in my face, I lost 18 pounds and am wavering there. Now it's time for me to get serious. The rest is not going to fall off on its own. :-)

I agree @Linda_Darlene - Seeing the actual numbers is what keeps me on track when I want to cheat. Yesterday, I had a TERRIBLE eating day and wanted to forget about it. First though, I entered everything I ate and drank into the tracker so I could see the calories and macros. Today, I am back on track, partly because seeing all those calories, there's no way I can eat like that and lose weight. Like you said, it's not going to fall off on it's own!

    Congrats on 18 pounds!!!
