  • My little boy is going to be 10 months old in 2 weeks, I started running around the 2nd week after giving birth (during my 3 mile walks, I'd add some runs) and then around 6 weeks I started training for my Half Marathon that I ran in October at 6 months post pregnancy. I don't have any time to go to the gym, so I just run.…
  • I try to start out slow and steady, and pick up pace as I get closer to the end of my run. It didn't work out that way on Saturday's run though.
  • I am guess there was a 5 lb difference between them, so I will change my starting weight to 165 instead o 160 or whatever I had it on. I've stuck to my 1800-2000 calories a day, my weekly runs have increased to 5 miles each and then the long runs on the weekend are increasing 1 mile each week until October, this coming…
  • Thanks both of you,
  • I didn't start losing 1-2 lbs a week until my running mileage went up past 15 mpw, now the lbs are slowly falling off. This started last week, and I am only 19 weeks post partum today. I breastfeed, I only eat about 1800-2000 calories a day, but I also run 5 miles twice a week and one long run that is between 8-10 miles on…
  • Awesome story, I know how you feel. My older sister was always the athletic one doing sports, and our mom was always trying to push me to get out there and join her. For some reason back in middle school and high school I always thought runners started out at a 7-9 mpm pace and knew I could never do that. I was 25…
  • I went ahead and changed what I had on here, as much as it sucks but when I weighed myself last Monday at 152, then I weighed myself this Monday at 150 lbs, this morning I weighed in at 149.2 lbs so I am happy that it's going down. I think as long as my running mileage keeps increasing each week I should be able to lose…
  • Yeah, I need to ignore the scale for the most part. Only check it every once in a while (maybe once a month) to see if it has decreased or whatever. I can tell by looking in the mirror and by how my clothes are fitting that I have lost weight, or at least trimmed down some.
  • Thanks, I am trying not to worry over it. As much as it sucks I think I will reset my weight thingy on here.
  • I pump the most from each breast first thing in the morning, about 5 oz each and I freeze both. Started this strategy about 2 or 3 weeks ago, my son is going to be 3 months old next Friday and my body is finally leveling out with milk supply. I'm not losing any weight either, and I am training for a Half Marathon in…
  • I have a Baby Trend Expedition ELX, been using it since my son was 2 weeks old but mainly use it for walks. I have a head and neck support system in the infant carseat, but my son has extremely strong neck muscles already, he'll be 2 months old this Wednesday.
  • Awesome, thanks.
  • How do you get the ticker on your signature?
  • Hello, new to the group! I love just about everything I do for exercise, I really, truly love running and am training for my second Half Marathon this October, my son will be 6 months by then. I ran my first Half last October at 13 weeks (can't wait to tell him that he was in a Half Marathon when he's old enough to…
