Hi All, I went through teacher training to deepen my practice, and now I teach at my husband's chiropractic office. I thought it would be great - I'm doing yoga 3 days a week, but teaching is soooooo different than practicing. So, I get the physical yoga part done while I'm teaching and then try to practice at home with…

I would strongly recommend going through the Yoga Alliance programs. You will find a directory on their site with links to registered yoga schools in your area and you can research each one. Every school is going to have a unique philosophy. I have been yoga alliance registered (RYT 200) for about a year and the my YTT…

I love Kundalini yoga! I am a yoga alliance registered yoga teacher and am not specifically registered in Kundalini, but my teacher trainer is and I learned about it throughout my training. I incorporate a little of it into all my classes and love it. I teach 6 classes a week and all have some Kundalini in it. Other than…

My goal pose for 2013 is Wheel. I remember doing it effortlessly as a kid!

Thanks to both of you! I also joined the yoga group.

My advice is to use your mind. Cravings are temporary, so maybe you can fill up on water and just keep telling yourself it will pass. If it doesn't, just have 5 chips or so to get the taste of them. Easier said than done, I know!!

#2, #3, #5 in that order! I go to work very early so the morning workouts never work for me. If that's what everyone else wants, I can just sit out a week!! Any challenge is a good challenge!

Strength in numbers! Feel free to friend me too!! Good luck and just have patience! You'll do great.

I'm in! I'm 5'7" CW - 144 GW-135 I don't usually eat fast food - except Taco Bell. Love their bean burritos and they are somewhat "healthy" except the white-flour tortillas. At least there is a lot of fiber in them. No Taco Bell for me this week! Good luck all!!

It's just water with air pumped in to make bubbles. We have a soda club at home and I drink it at work all day. I wouldn't get my 8 c in otherwise. I love it - great plain or with a lemon wedge.

I have a 101, which is no longer made, but I've had it for about 4 years and love it. It's basic, but I just want to know my pace and distance.

I hit 40 this summer and have really noticed a change in caloric needs (gradually, over the past year or so). I used to be able to eat 'rubbish' and stay around my calorie goal and lose weight. Now, I've learned that it's the quality of food that I eat that helps me lose. I shoot for 1200 calories (I gain if I eat more)…

Yes - I use MFP and stay around net 1200 calories. I had been doing it for weeks and stayed level (I am trying to lose around 10 lbs). Once I started doing this and eliminating sweets (which probably accounted for around 150 calories at night), I lost 3 lbs in 1 week. I am working out the same amount (yoga and running).…

I like the Skinny Rules, but it is hard to get used to! So, for dinner, I usually will have eggs or chicken or beef (all of our products are organic/free range) and veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, etc). I have made some bean dishes and tofu dishes for my protein, so that would help fit a vegetarian/vegan diet. I will not…

I started following Bob Harper's skinny rules and FINALLY get the whole eat more argument. So, one of his rules is no carbs (flour products, starchy veg, fruit) after lunch. So, I'm having carbs at breakfast and lunch and then my dinners are protein and veggies. I was on a MAJOR plateau and this change has really helped…

I'm not sure how much each day, since it can be incorporated into foods, but when I'm cooking I use olive oil if it's not cooked (on salads, etc) and coconut oil for everything else (makes great eggs and popcorn!). Coconut oil gets a bad rap because it is high in saturated fat, but if you research it, it's actuall much…
