My alarm for gym days is set for 2:50 am. I'm usually up and ready to leave by 3:10 and at the gym no later than 3:30. Luckily, my workout schedule is only 3 days a week. I usually start my HRM about 2 mins into my warm up and I stop it after my workout, generally once I've made it to the locker room. My heart rate is still elevated, but no where near my workout readings.

I was just going to recommend EAS Advantage. I LOVE the vanilla, and the strawberry cream one is good too. These are pre-made. The 4 pack is like $5 at Walmart.
