My wife pointed out the picture that I didn't look at. The woman in the picture lifts heavy, so you should too.

Only read the topic, answer is yes.

There's one of those at my gym, very popular but I haven't tried it yet. For me it's ridiculous inclines on the treadmill. And maybe squats.

Lol heard or personal experience. This!

After 5 days of very low carb maybe just stay low carbing. That's not a new diet and it does work. Just up the natural fats, you'll feel like a million bucks eating bacon and eggs every day and the weight will be falling off at your feet.

Sounds like a boot camp for an eating disorder. The beneficial results can be achieved by intermittent fasting then gorging on your calories (decide how many and of what and eat them all). Sure eat healthy food but only eating when your body needs you to and only as much as it needs is a bad plan for gaining muscle. This…

I know the time has come and passed but others may be reading this. Medhi would say that you can't make any excuses not to workout on your workout day. Since your weights are light I don't see the problem skipping one rest day. And doing workouts back to back if the occasion warrants it. Honestly the early weights are to…

Dr oz is okay because he lets all these people put their opinions on his show. However, he acs like he agrees with every wack diet presented and even does these stunt explanations that aren't scientific at all. Take all dr oz health tips and diet with a grain of salt. Ie he recommendes eating whole wheat then has wheat…

I conquered hypoglycemia with a ketogenic diet aka low carb high fat. For your goals to drop weight and get rid of these hypoglycemic symptoms I recommend you check into this. Paleo solution and primal blueprint are great books to read! Fathead is a good documentary.

If you don't like it, don't eat it. It's a fad food really... If you want protein, make a protein shake (yum)

Just need to realize that you may add muscle and burn fat so if you're weighing in there may be no difference on the scales. Huge benefit is if you add what 20lbs of muscle in 90 days which is a very huge promise that 20lbs is gonna burn all kinds of calories for you every day. Do it for sure!
-
Look up hypoglycemia. It is a condition that can preceed diabetes. You're doing the right thing getting your health on track now!

I must have had amazing abs because I've been losing in the mid-section. This muscle loss discussion is nonsensical, you're losing weight and it's mostly body fat.

I'm reading (60% done) Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson, (marksdailyapple guy) I can't imagine a better written book that encompasses more information with the reasons why we do what we do and more than a diet eat this not that plan but exercise and lifestyle plan to improve your entire life.
-
Share your knowledge with us. I've read the same explanation in Primal Blueprint for the insulin release which keeps fat locked up and makes you want high glucose foods. Also the diet sodas do seem to induce cravings for sweets.

I think the 5:2 diet is a little misunderstood and would be most beneficial (fat loss vs lean body loss) for those who subscribe to a low glucose eating regiment. If your body is accustomed to burning fat for fuel as it would be in a Primal, Paleo, Atkins, Keto eating pattern it would forage for nutrients in your fat cells…

If you're restricting carbs like eating salads and meat then one day have a sandwich and chocolate bar you will feel terrible...
-
I think that could work especially the ice cream with cauliflower bit

Eat the Canadian food guide's recommendations to be healthy and the correct weight. They teach this to kids in school - mandatory... http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/fn-an/food-guide-aliment/order-commander/eating_well_bien_manger-eng.php Weird so many people have diabetes...

I'm on the fence with chia seeds they're 20g carb and 18g fiber for 1/4 cup (I would only eat 1/8 cup) still unsure of this net carb thing

Not ALL but that is what most bodybuilders do, bulk(surplus) and cut(defect),,,

That's more "geek" than nerd, the lady who replied about libraries falls more under "nerd".

Awesome Info kiramaniac, I've been in keto before following advice from my training partner. We ate 2 pounds of cottage cheese a day with a small fruit with it and unlimited meat and protein powder. I lost weight on it, hoping the "Atkins" style diet can work for me once again. As far as bacon goes I'm a scouter so bacon…

I've been watching mine and I can have all the fat and protein I want but I stay under 150g of carbs or I have problems, my weight is 205.

Avon has a nice digital scale, i think I paid about 30 dollars for it. I like to measure my weight to the first decimal after the pound. That portion is really nice. However, i wouldn't spend a lot of money thinking that the body fat %s and what not are accurate. I tried logging that week to week and it's completely out.…
