Honestly, that's what I use MFP for. It stinks, but I realize that some people just don't want to hear about how excited I am for my upcoming race or how I lost 2 inches this month. That doesn't mean they aren't happy for me (or maybe they aren't, who knows?!), just that it's not one of their interests or passions. As for…

I'm sorry to hear you're going through a rough time. :( Ever since I turned 21 (4 years ago) I have been a weekend drinker. I'd do fine without it through the week, but as soon as the weekend came I would celebrate with a drink...which always turned into many more drinks. I'm not really sure what finally clicked for me. I…

Meh. It doesn't annoy me. I just politely decline and go about my business. It's not anyone elses responsibility to make sure that I make good food choices, so why blame them for asking? If you say no enough times, they will get the hint and stop. Just as a side note... I'm not sure how far you are into your journey, but…

The only changes I'm making this year are not drinking my calories (no wine, eggnog, champagne, ect) and not stuffing myself silly just because it's Thanksgiving or Christmas. I will enjoy the food, have a little of everything, and stop when I'm full. Oh, and I will not be accepting any leftovers from my mom to take home.…

Feel free to add me! I'm 5'7" and currently about 132... looking to be around 125-127ish and then gain weight in muscle. I run and strength train 6 days a week. :)

Dove dark chocolate pieces are really satisfying to me. Also, Skinny Cow ice cream is wonderful if you're an ice cream-aholic like myself! ;)

My birthday is in January. We very rarely get harsh winter weather here in Oklahoma, but there has been a snow and/or ice storm on about 7-8 out of 24 of my birthdays. So, needless to say... there was an ice storm on my 21st and the whole town shut down except for a Chili's. Me, my parents, and a couple of friends went and…

I don't have a whole lot of weight to lose (6-10 lbs), so the initial reaction when people find out is a bunch of eye-rolling, unwanted advice and comments about how silly I'm being. So needless to say, no. Nobody but my husband knows.

My breakfasts and dinners are usually pretty normal, but lunch is whatever I feel like throwing together and bringing to work. It's not unusual for my lunch to consist of something like an apple with peanut butter, a hard boiled egg, some almonds, string cheese, and some carrots with hummus, lol. I love it! I'm never bored…

It sounds like you could benefit a lot from switching out your current food choices to healthier, more filling options. Like someone else said, a veggie omelet for breakfast rather than a bagel and cream cheese, ect. Just because 1,200 calories is what MFP sets for you, doesn't mean that's the be all and end all of what…

Oh! One more suggestion. If you have about 150 calories to use up, try slicing up a banana, sprinkle cinnamon on it, and then drizzle with a bit of honey. So good!

I have a terrible sweet tooth, but I've found that if I can manage to cut sugar entirely from my diet for a week or two, then other, healthier options start satisfying me. Peanut butter seems to do the trick and a tablespoon is only 95 calories. Lately I've been curbing my sweet addiction with red grapes - I don't have…

I just switched to morning workouts a few weeks ago, and every day is still a struggle - but I'm doing it! I do all of the things others have mentioned: set my alarm 10 minutes before I actually have to be up, set out all my clothes, ect. However, something that has helped me in the mornings when I inevitably start talking…

Yep, but only my husbands and only when he's wearing this certain pair of sweatpants. Yum! ;)

This doesn't make me see red, but it really annoys me for some reason. When I'm running on a row of entirely empty treadmills, and someone comes and gets on the one RIGHT next to me. I always want to stop running, look at them, and say, "REALLY?!" Not to mention the fact that it always seems to be a woman who wreaks of…

Feel free to add me! Ideally, I'd like to lose about 5-6 lbs, but more importantly than that I'd like to maintain through this holiday season and stay diligent with my workout routine.

I actually just decided this last weekend to cut alcohol out of my life. I am 25 and happily married with no children (yet), so for the last two years or so my husband and I have drank pretty regularly on the weekends just because we could. We were always responsible by taking cabs, but knowing we had a safe way home…

I can kind of see how this may be true. I find that when my house is clean and tidy, I feel less guilty about spending my free time at the gym. Also, having a clean house motivates me to maintain other areas of my life, such as eating well and working out. I've also noticed that when I get lazy about keeping up with…

I don't get possessive of food because it's "mine" necessarily, but because I hate going to the grocery store and then a day later being out of stuff again. Example: My husband LOVES grapes... and rather than eat a handful of grapes with something else for a snack when he's hungry, he will just sit down with a whole bag of…

1 and 2 months?! You guys are more generous I am! I delete after a couple weeks of inactivity. I also delete friends who consistently log calories under 1,200 (unless there is a reason) or always write statuses filled with self-hate. I realize we all have our down moments, but nobody likes a perma-Negative Nancy. Positive…

My favorite breakfast, before I started trying to avoid grains, was a bagel thin with 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and slices of banana on top. SO good and very filling.

My husband is supportive about 95% of the time. He eats whatever I cook without complaint, compliments my body like crazy, tells me how proud he is of my determination, and comes to all my races and takes tons of pictures of me crossing the finish line. ;) However...he can also be a really bad influence! He is very…

Out of curiosity, I wore my HRM while I did my weekly picking up and I burned about 125 calories for a little over an hour of light cleaning. I thought that was pretty neat!

I run in a nice park that has paved trails, so it's usually pretty packed with runners, walkers, rollerbladers, ect. That being said, my pet peeve is groups of people who walk side by side by side taking up the entire sidewalk, completely oblivious to the fact that there are others around them. Common courtesy is not so…

I believe I was in the final stages of Couch to 5k, so I was running about 4-5 times a week. And I absolutely do not eat 1,200 calories...that is wayyyy too low for me. I eat about 1,500 and eat back most of my exercise calories. :)
-
Couch to 5k is great. Whether you're an old runner who is just out of shape or have never ran a day in your life - you will love the program. Just a tip - if you are seriously going to start running, then I can't stress enough the importance of a good pair of running shoes. Go to a running speciality store where they can…

My husband (then boyfriend) paid the first few times we went out, but after we officially became a "couple" we started switching off. I would pay one time, he'd pay the next, and so forth. I don't think I could handle being with someone who paid all the time. I'd feel inferior or something, lol. Even now that we are…

CHIPS. Chips are and always will be my weakness. I am totally an "everything in moderation" type of gal and I have no problem treating myself to some junk food every now and then...but I know I can't control myself when it comes to chips, so it's the only thing I have completely cut out. Now I want some Doritos. Lol. ;)

I run about 3-5 miles about 4-5 times a week in addition to the 30DS, so I usually make Sundays my rest day from Jillian. I don't feel like my results were hindered. You could probably even take 2 days off a week, especially if you're doing some other form of exercise - additional cardio is great for this DVD.
