I agree that you should rest, but I wanted to share some of my experience with exercise videos. I did Turbo Jam before and it killed my knees, so I mentioned it to a friend who was also doing it. She had the same problem. Her husband is a personal trainer, and he suggested doing it barefoot. Sneakers allow your foot to…

great job! It's the little things that add up to big things and lifestyle changes. Very proud of you, and glad that you aren't trying to hide your weight loss journey anymore either!

I want to look good with my gorgeous husband at his Army Christmas party this year. And be able to buy some cute clothes to go with all the jewelry I own!

Really? I'm going to be 30 next month, and people usually don't believe me and think I'm maybe mid 20's. My husband is 27, and his perceptive age just went from 18 to 21. He was so excited that he finally looked to be in his 20's. People act like they are having a heart attack when he tells them he's been married 8 years…

I too don't eat processed sugars, along with some other things, but I eat tons of fruit, it just can't be too ripe. If there are any "bad" spots, then they have to be cut out. I use honey or pure maple syrup or agave nectar to sweeten things. But like I said, I eat lots of fruit. My opinion is, if God made it, it's safe to…

Don't worry, I've noticed that Bobby seems pretty snippy on other posts too, so it's not just you. :) About the just eating 1 cookie, I can't eat just one. That's how I got to be overweight in the first place, that and 4 kids anyway! But yeah, it's better to avoid the that first one and start the sugar frenzy!

I always wanted 4 and we've got 4. 3 girls and a boy ages 7, 5, 2 1/2 and almost 1.

Replacing white potatoes with red potatoes is a good idea if you still want potatoes. They are healthier for you. Also brown rice instead of white rice for the same reason. I was going to mention the spaghetti squash and the cauliflower also. The first time I had the caulifower was actually at Applebees. They used to have…

If you would like to try a home remedy, I've done this on my son who has very coarse hair. Mix a tablespoon of baking soda in a cup of hot water, as hot as you can stand it, and pour it on your already wet hair. It's best to use a squirt bottle. You can use more if you have a lot of hair. Let it sit on your hair for about…

HA HA!!! Hysterical! Totally made my morning!

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work for me. I'd have to be eating 1870 and I would definitely gain weight that way.

I go to the gym with my good friend every morning M-F at 5am for 30 minutes. We go that early because it's before my husband goes to work, and he usually does some typ of exercise after work so I like to leave him with a free schedule. I've also been running in the evenings some time 3 days a week because the weight wasn't…

I have one, he just happens to be my husband, and I think he knows.

I'm kind of in that same boat starting out at 201 and I'd like to get to 130. It's encouraging to see that it's possible, and you look amazing too! I'm sure my stretched out belly won't look nearly that good, but if it's anything smaller than it is right now, it's an improvement!

"stab free" HAHA! Best phrase of the day.

Instead of graham/fudge crackers for a snack, I chose fresh watermelon and cucumber. I was pretty proud of myself, and it had WAY less calories!

I am 29 and I wear a watch every single day. It's not even a very pretty watch, but I have to wear it always. I will say that I don't have a cell phone, so I definitely need it to know what time it is. It's just a cheapo $9 watch from walmart, but I'd be lost without it!

You are truly an inspiration. I'm all choked up and so very happy for you for gaining the life that you fought to get back. Amazing.

Exactly what she said. We are supposed to be encouraging each other, and as long as you are losing weight and reaching your goals, then it's right. Eating the things that God created and intended for us as food can't be wrong. She sounds like she is doing things exactly right, just not the way that you would do it, and she…

I don't necessarily love it, but I don't think I hate it either. I love getting sweaty and having time to myself when I'm not being mommy to 4 kids, but I don't like the part of my workout when I am worn out and would love to quit and just go home. I know that this is what I need to do to get this extra weight off, so it's…

Mine is based on eggs, but our favorite breakfast is just eggs, sausage and cheese mixed together and baked in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes, maybe a little less. We fry up a pound of sausage and cut up a smallish block of sharp cheddar cheese, more or less depending on how much cheese you like, and mix it…

When I was thinner in high school a few people told me I looked like Katie Holmes from the Dawson's Creek days. I think she's pretty, so if I look like her when I'm thin, I'm okay with that.

I'm pretty sure I'm the annoying one at the gym. My friend and I go at 5am M-F for 30 minutes, and we talk the whole time. We do the elliptical M,W,F and the 30 minute workout Tu and Th. If it wasn't for my friend suggesting we both get memberships, my lazy butt would still be sleeping in until my kids woke me up! I also…

I'm hoping to lose 60ish by then, so I'm in too! I've learned that I need to eat healthier foods, rather than try to fit it into my calorie count for the day. If I'm craving something sweet, then I try to grab some fresh fruit rather than cookies or something else. Whole foods keep you full longer than processed foods, and…
