  • Cant speak for everyone but I have just recently started taking a 75% fish oil, 900mg and I own a body media. Since the very day I started taking fish oil I burn anywhere from 400 calories extra on a lazy day and 600/700 extra on a more active day. Like I said, I cant vouch for everyone or every brand but I can say along…
  • pepitas for anxiety - they have a crazy amount of magnesium to help keep my anxiety at bay Green smoothie - cause they are full of vitamins and nutrients and taste delish!
  • experiences? anyone?
  • so if it isnt all that accurate, what is the best way to measure body fat? I personally would like comfort in knowing how close i am to my goals and how to alter my routine due to my current status.
  • The hubs and i drink a green smoothie every day. I love blending raw fruits an veggies to get my nutrients and fiber on top of what i already consume! Plus its the only way the hubs will eat anything green! And thats because the flavor is so good, he doesnt even taste the green veg, and we put a handful of spinach AND a…
  • I have lost weight eating whatever i want. I eat about a 50/50 diet. Even more so, losing weight isnt what i want. I want to lose inches, lose fat, preserve lean muscle. I have lost 16 inches off my whole body and havent lost a single lb. And thats with enjoying WHATEVER food i want. And a diet of 2000 cals average! Edited…
  • I DO! Every week I do a cheat day, so Im swapping. A cheat day keeps me sane and I always average my goal each week and log all cals. Thanksgiving I wont. I will not worry about extra exercise or compensating for cals days before or after. I will have my one day, and I will DEF enjoy it :)
  • started weight training in the beginning of august. so by summer i ought to be showing decent progress. Start: look alright Goal: look amazing :) I used to think id be happy at a lower "weight". Last time I lost I was 3 lbs away from my goal weight and i obsessed like crazy thinking that weight would change the way i see…
  • cardio has a purpose. so does lifting weights. i personally enjoy weights more. Also to the ladies making cracks about my look good naked goal. That is one of MY goals. It doesnt have to be yours. I feel I personally look fine in clothes, I want to look good out of clothes as well (naked... bathing suit...) and be…
  • one of my 4 reasons on my profile of why i want to be in shape! i want to avoid health risks as i age.
  • IMO cardio is a waste in a calorie deficit. Literally. Say goodbye to beautiful lean muscle! Id rather sit in a moderate cal deficit while losing fat and gaining (thank god for noob gains) muscle. Plus, I like lifting weights. I want to feel strong and look good naked, not feel weak and look good in clothes, buts thats…
  • lets just say that my measurements are exactly the same as they were 2 yrs ago when i lost weight. only two years ago i was 15 lbs lighter. p.s. i love staci from nerdfitness! now thats what i call inspiration!
  • this this and more this! I started as lifting heavy as i am able, and do 1 set 9 reps (just increased to 2 sets) and i eat roughly the same average, Im 5'7.5" and weight 170 when i started, and after losing 17" off of my body (4 off of my hips alone!) i look like i weigh the same as i did 15 lbs lighter! edited to add that…
  • I look for new inspiration daily. ESP with weightlifting (its my new love). these ppl are the reason i got into weightlifting and have lost 17" from all over in a relatively short time (compared to my 7 months of cardio hell). great job success stories! i hope to have my very own one day!
  • Im in the same boat, im 10 weeks into weight lifting and have lost 17 inches all over my body but havent lost an ounce. So my theory is that for all the fat im losing, i must also be gaining muscle due to the lack of scale movement. Which i realize now is the optimal goal right? Weight is just a number.
  • lol what?...
  • i had to check the mirror after i felt it cause i was like, wtf? this practically happened overnight! probably not though, it was prolly just a progress notice moment :)
  • lifting helps with everything. You can look up lifting threads on here and find a plethora of ladies with extra skin whose body improved while weightlifting. i did cardio for 6 months with very little improvement regarding body composition. almost all my inches lost is due to lifting. i 110% recommend it.
  • i wish we could too! my body just chose to take from that area this month. i work all body areas evenly with a little bit more focus on my core area but that really doesnt matter. what worked for me is eating at an average of a 500-300 cal deficit while lifting as much as i could without injury as well as floor exercises…

  • i have not lost a single lb but have lost 17" all over my body. This is what I eat on a normal day. P.S. I follow a 16/8 fast daily. Lunch @ 11 am: Half a meat and cheese sandwich .75 ounces of pepitas Cheese stick 1 piece of Hard candy Snack @ 3 pm .75 ounces of pepitas 1 piece of hard candy Days I lift I eat another half…
  • TOTALLY!!! in fact, i have often scoured the internet looking for them to reassure myself that weight is just a number. and now im freaking living proof! boo yah to my old psychotically obsessive scale watching mindset!
  • and thank you to those who agree about lifting, thats a 15 lb difference between the old and new and i look almost exactly the same!
  • ^ what you dont like a strong tan b*tch with glasses? lol. otherwise the hair is really the only difference. but no worries, lifting weights used to intimidate me too, until i started. now im like, woo hoo for weight lifting!!! edited to add that this is for the dude who like the right pic best. right pic=2.5 yrs old!
  • ^^^ this! I do this whenever i go out to eat!
  • Lift lift lift! I have lost 11 inches in 2 months and have only lost 1/2 a lb! And i eat 2000 cals a day!
