Hiya! I started keto on New Year's Eve and have lost 4kgs (8.6lbs) since then! I am starting to get sick of eating eggs  I'd be so happy to have keto friends to support and share with. I'll send you a friend request, and anyone interested in more keto pals, please feel free to add me.

In a nutshell, the 80% fat thing is only for people doing keto for medical purposes - that is where the ketogenic diet originated, to stop young children with a specific type of epilepsy from seizures. Hit your protein macros and keep your carbs as low as you can and the fat it not as important. I have heard it said "The…

Hiya, I am new to keto but it's working a treat. I am over 40, have 2 kids and have 120lbs to lose to get to my goal weight. Anyone, please feel free to add me if you want a friend to share the ups and downs with :)

That's fantastic! I started June 25th and have lost 17lbs. I have another 120lbs to go to reach my goal so it's safe to say I'll be doing this form of eating for a very long time to come :) Sending a friend request.

That's very cool. The ketogenic diet seems to get so many people worked up on MFP. I have nearly stopped talking to people about it outside of the Keto group.

I'm in my 5th week and am loving it. I am learning new things every day about how it works best for me. Please feel free to add me if you are still after friends. We can learn about it all together :)

Fifth week here! I am reluctant to get all born again about it, but it definitely changed my life. Extra fat is coming off, I have a burst of energy, tracking macros is a breeze with MFP. I can see myself eating this way for a long time to come.

Hey Joe! A ketogenic (non medical) diet works really well for me. I am losing weight but the biggest change has been ditching the feeling I am walking through a thick fog day after day. I feel like I have energy for the first time in a decade. The fact I can also have food that is commonly thought of as not being good on a…

How incredibly inspirational. Congratulations on your hard work and dedication :)

Great coping skills. I love it!
-
Wooweee! You look amazing. Congrats on all your hard work!
-
You're doing so very well! Keep up the great work!

I managed to get into a sports bra today without my husband needing to brace his knee on my back and yank the sides around :D Not only could I do it myself, it went straight to the second set of eyelets!
-
Congratulations! That sounds very exciting. Well done on all your hard work :)

Today yet ANOTHER friend told me I had no chance to lose the weight and achieve my goals (visible abs) because I am over 40 and "at 40 your metabolism just stops". I'm pig headed, and also believe that's complete B.S. So, please add me if you feel like you can put up with an occasional straight talking, sometimes…

Great work and dedication! My kids are 8 and 5 years old and I haven't shifted the weight yet

I am aiming for another 136lbs. I'll send a friend request

Congratulations on making it through such a *kitten* thing. Just wanted to chime in and say that. There are so many cool people on here to have a laugh with, or to help you keep moving towards your goal.

Hi there! Welcome aboard. You can do it! There are so many people no here who can support you along the way. I'm happy to if you are still looking for more MFP friends :)
-
Nice work kicking the smokes and focusing on your health. You've got some pretty cute motivation to keep going right there in that profile pic :)

Hi Heather! I'm an Australian (in her 40's) who lived in London for a long time but am now in Switzerland (The land of cheese and chocolate!!!). Feel free to add me for extra support and a laugh along the way :)

Hi Kimberley, We have sort of similar stories, I've started a few times, I lost weight (100lbs+) and put it back on again, and am back as of last week to do this for once and for all. Let's do this together :)
-
For sure! I had a lot of friends on here when I first started, but gradually people stopped tracking and left. I find it so motivating to have people on here that cheer you along, tell a joke or say hi occasionally.
-
What a change! Great dedication to your health. All the best to you.
-
Me too! I need to lose around 50kgs/nearly 8 stone. Add me and we'll get there together :)
-
You can chat away to me too :) I lost over 100lbs 3 years ago and it's ALL back now. Bugger. Anyway, I've kicked 8 lbs out the door again and I'm more determined than ever. It's hard, but with the right motivation we can all get to where we want to be

Hiya, I'm a 40 year old Aussie living in Switzerland :) I lost about 110lbs in 2013 by tracking everything on MFP and using a Polar HRM. Then I thought I knew what I was doing, got cocky and put if all on slowly (after tearing my knee meniscus doing yoga!). Now I'm peeling those lbs off again.
-
That's me too. I could really do with some friends who are chatty, funny or supportive. I have another 60kgs to lose, so I'll be here a while. Anyone wanting more friends can add me :)

You look phenomenal! Keep slogging away at it.

What a great achievement! Well done.
