Thanks all, much appreciated, I'll have a good look through the links when I get home tonight.

It's not about the money, more the space in the house :)

Thanks all for your feedback, thoughts and suggestions. Much appreciated, and nice (in the best possible way) to know I'm not dealing with this alone.

mzlizzi, in March 2013 my friend posted a photo of me on Facebook of a night out. I didn't recognise myself on the photo. That was the motivation. Now, I look in the mirror and I'm not necessarily pleased with what I see, but it doesn't affect me as much as it did back then, and there's more going on. More going on at…

gia - I have been prescribed Citalopram, and CB Therapy, although this doesn't begin until June. I have felt a difference in terms of being able to control my emotions better, however it hasn't helped me feel motivated in anything - from walking the dog to going to work, everything is still a chore and I'd rather stay in…

All good advice, thank you - especially Monsoon Storm. I'll do it! I'll get there :)

I've been on Citalopram for the past 5 weeks and have experienced the same hunger type feeling as Milica above, hence why I'm back on here. I've gained 9lbs in a very short space of time and need to start doing something about it, although the depression doesn't help because I can't seem to get motivated to do anything.…

Also starting today! Did it in 2013, was difficult but enjoyable, in a strange way!

Hi Dave, My kids are also one of the reasons I'm here, feel free to add! Good luck!
-
Snap! I'm now starting my 2nd big push to lose and get fit. Feel free to add.

I apologise, I hadn't fully read and understood the thread before posting earlier. I completely agree that your husband is looking out for you and is concerned for your health. Please ignore my previous post, I stick with the idea that it is important to be happy, however you must also be healthy.
-
Cheers for that.

You are you... do what makes you happy. I have had relationships with 'skinny' women and larger women. There are differences between the two but the only difference that really mattered was how they felt, as their feelings were reflected in their everyday personality. If you are happy, your husband should respect that. :)…

Thanks all! Quite a few beer filled weekends coming up so that might halt the progress slightly...
-
Mine were when the two that are now part of my profile picture went on Facebook in May - that led to the third photo, which was last weekend. I think it's the case with a lot of people that they don't realise how they look until they see a photo. I could have swore I was never that big when I looked in a mirror - but sure…

I'm most certainly in! Did 6 weeks of it last year, it's hard... but it works! I, however... am more likely to be start on the 6th Jan - I'll be doing it before work but will do the full 2 months!
-
Probably why you've had 2 interviews from 60 job applications.

Restart Insanity on Monday, run around res at the back of my house twice weekly
-
I think that's a perfectly valid question

I got up to Week 6, Day 1 and gave up. I loved it, but it that second month was a killer and my knees, back and ankle were hurting. I'm moving house on Friday, so as of Monday morning - I'm back on it, from the beginning at 5.30am before work. It's excellent, and really, really transforms your body. I also lost quite a few…

Awesome!

Hi, I'm going to tell you a little about my current situation, it may help or it may not, but we'll see. I originally decided enough was enough and I needed to sort out my health and weight after a saw a photo which was uploaded of me on Facebook. One of the lads I was stood next to looked great - slim and healthy. My…

I'm currently half way through week 4 of Insanity. It's not easy, but it's possible. As has been said before go at your own pace and just work yourself harder each time! I wasn't the fittest by any stretch of the imagination when I started it. There was a group of 7 of us doing it to start with, all of different fitness…

What you eat in private, you wear in public :)

I've tried countless number of times and always failed to quit. I read the book last year, but unfortunately it didn't spur me on to give up the cigarettes altogether, I slowly started smoking more and more until I was back on 20-25 a day. I think my main issue is, I feel as though I enjoy it, I know the book blatantly…

My thoughts exactly...

Amazing! Well done!

Feel free to add!

Someone once posted this link http://thepopularman.com/insanity-calories-burned/ Not sure how accurate it is to be fair, but I use it to log my Insanity workouts. Just started week 2, feeling miles better already.

I echo these thoughts! I would never have guessed that English wasn't your first language.
