I think we all have moments when we don't like our bodies, no matter what shape and size we are. I've lost 130 pounds, and I still have days like that. Bottom line: you're only a few days in, so you're still adjusting to all of the changes you're trying to make. You might even be a bit hormonal right now if what you're…

Sweet! Thanks!

To my husband: "yes why?"

I managed to not gain, even though I only exercised about three times in the last two weeks (until today). I actually lost a pound, but no doubt I lost a pound of muscle, which is not good when I'm within ten pounds of my goal weight and trying to increase my metabolism for when I transition to maintenance. And we won't…

My food diary is private because I don't want people to "coach" me on my eating habits... I want support when I post a workout, when I post a specific question that I need help with, or to celebrate victories. I do not view people scrutinizing my diary and telling me what I'm doing wrong as a form of support... it often…

I agree. IMO, if someone is going to unfriend me just because they can't see my diary, then they weren't much of a buddy to start with. If their idea of a friend on here is that different from mine, it may be better for them to go ahead and unfriend me... *shrug*

That was the issue... she was using the newsfeed for the purposes of the group instead of creating an actual group... and some of those statuses were pretty annoying. The ones I listed here were the tip of the iceberg. Honestly, I think part of it was a maturity issue... but I deal with maturity issues all day at work…

This. Exactly. Unless it's because the person is causing me some kind of problem... as long as they are not bothering me somehow, I'll stick around.

Fair enough :) I just feel a bit defensive when people assume that I'm anorexic because I'm following my doctor's prescribed eating plan... I've had a few people jump all over me for it without knowing WHY I'm eating the way I do. My food diary is actually private now, mainly for this reason. Not trying to start a debate…

My Hero!

With all due respect, I have to disagree with you on this one. I am consistently eating less than 1000 calories a day right now... but, I have had weight loss surgery and am following my doctor's instructions. When I get closer to my maintenance range, I will up my calories to beyond 1000, but that will probably be a…

I can imagine! That would get an immediate "unfriending" in my book... I'm here for support and to support others, NOT give unsolicited advice about eating habits. Ridiculous.

So this is something that happens regularly?!? I've never encountered this one... maybe I've just been lucky. Wow...
-
Lol! Yep!!!

I've only unfriended one person on here, and it was because she was extremely annoying. She even tried to re-friend me a couple of times, so I ended up making her mad so that she wouldn't want to be my friend anymore... When I say annoying, she was blowing up my news feed with crap like "okay, Bodsquad (her little possie…

Not sure I follow here... why is doing cardio stupid? What about people who are trying to lose weight... isn't cardio the best form of exercise for shedding pounds?

In my opinion, all the more reason to start off with intervals and work your way up.

The only way I could build up my runs was to use a c25k program. It's an ap that I put on my phone that started me out running short distances and walking in between. Gradually, it builds you up to running more and walking less, so that by the time you finish the program you can run for 30 minutes at a time. This took 9…

The best way around that would be to print out your journals about once a week or so... or before you update your goals. Keep them in a notebook or something... or there may be a way to save everything to your computer that I don't know about lol. That way you have a copy without the goals being changed.

My mom had gestational diabetes while pregnant with me. The diet the dr put her on caused her to lose 40 pounds in her first trimester of the pregnancy, and she and I both came away just fine :)

My weight on my license was about 10 pounds low when I put it on there, but that weight is now 83 pounds heavier than I really am :). I hate to get a new ID before mine expires, but I may have to before much longer!

I love the dress! It looks great on you. I would definitely wear different shoes though.

Sounds great... thanks for sharing!

I'm the same height as you, and 120 is my goal weight. However, I started out at about 250, so we'll see! Right now I'm at 179.

Are you possibly carbohydrate sensitive? If you have a lot of weight around your midsection, the answer is probably yes. If so, maybe consider going into mfp and changing your goals for each calorie source? I find that if carbs make up more than 30% of my calorie intake, I don't lose as well. Something else to consider is…

The only reason I ever use the term "hubby" is if I'm typing something about him from my phone, which is a pain in the butt. I never call him that in person or to his face, nor do I type that way if I'm sitting in front of an actual keyboard. It's an abbreviation, nothing more.
