I use unsweetened almond milk with porridge oats. I have yet to find an alternative to dairy that tastes good in my coffee but I've been trying to cut back a little bit and have green tea instead.

I pay £50 for an annual membership and then it's £1 per visit (its not really a commercial gym, more blood, sweat and tears). I spend £35 per month on whey protein and about £5 on multi vitamins and fish oils. I have to admit since I cut all the rubbish out of my diet, it costs a little more to eat lots of fresh meat,…

Ok, thanks ! Going to give that a go then. Will report back with weight in about a week. I'll definitely keep off the scales too as that BF reading really grinds on my nerves. I've ordered some callipers to use instead :-)

I'm 5ft 4 so maybe I should up the calories to about 1500 and see if that helps. Sorry, what do you mean by 'stats' plz ? :-)

Yeah me too. I warm up for 10 mins on the cross trainer and then do my proper cardio work after the weights. I just wondered what any advantages/disadvantages were of this approach. :-)

Thanks. I have tried not eating before working out but it doesn't seem to suit me, my energy is zapped easily and I start feeling sick, probably because I've not fed myself anything for about 12 hours. I do feel as though I need something, even something small but just not something that I have to munch through first thing…

I am wide awake and just joined after weighing myself and finding I haven't lost a single pound nor any body fat this week. Well fed up now :-( I need to lose about 10 pounds and 8% body fat and it's just not happening so hoping this site will inspire me !

A nice walk through the park and some conversation to really get to know each other. Maybe a meal or lunch.
