I'm pretty new as well so hello! I'm lifting at home by myself and I started with really, really light weights to build my confidence and to make sure that I felt my form was good. Slowly progressing - but looking for inspiration? just keep an eye on the june'o thread - I check it every day to see what other awesome ladies…

I have my self set as sedentary , with my fitbit linked in, and I eat back my extra exercise calories to get…

At the moment - floor presses - just doesn't feel very effective... But hopefully when we pick up my bench - I can do bench presses! Also not loving power cleans either - still not quite sure about the pull up bit on these, when you seem to go on your toes! (maybe another few how to videos need watched for this) Squats =…

Hello I've only done 6 works outs and loving it - but wanted to say Hi and welcome 1.My first thought would be - start lighter - I think Mehedi says start at 50% of your max or with an empty bar. The aim is to build up so you get stronger, if you start too heavy you will run out of places to go pretty quickly (which…

I did insanity last year for 2 reasons 1. I wanted to see if I could & 2. To lose weight Completed it (hurrahhh) But didn't lose any weight at all - which seems to be pretty common for females - I took weekly pictures and they were a HUGE motivator as I could see my body shape changing. But weight loss - nope

looking good ;-) Amy - I wrecked my back last Thursday doing a mad kettle bell class - so I feel your pain. Hope it eases off soon. work out B this morning - didn't bother weighting my bar - as it is really pretty light . Squats 5x5 @ 17.5kg Floor press 5x5 @ 7.5 Power Clean (really need to watch a few more youtubes on…
-
Cheers :-) I knew it would be part of the long tern plan - and the amount of pics about on MFP of ladies who lift and just look amazing - is the best motivator ever.

Hello Just saying hello as I just started on Saturday as well, but I am just doing this at home, but I have a barbell, not dumbells. So I can't advise, but one of the awesome kick *kitten* strong ladies will hopefully pop in and help you out. Good luck. I am so excited to lift heavey and get strong!
-
1. don't miss a minamlist stronglift session (just started Saturday) 2. eat well - natural & unproccessed where I can (lots of meat/veg/eggs/fruit/natural yoghurt) 3. don't look at the scales for at least 2 weeks 4. Give myself a high 5 if I manage the above 3 :-)
-
hello - just a newbie waving and saying hello - these numbers rock - can't wait till I'm up there with the best of you!
-
:-) Cheers vegas baby!
-
Cheers Vegas baby - I am so excited to get strong and get some muscle definition! I did insanity last year, didn't lose a lb but loved how my shape changed. So focusing on that right now - strong, heavy, lift :-) feel a bit excited to not focus so much on weighing myself and focus instead on how heavy I am going to lift…

Cleanest ice cream i've found is hagen daz vanilla - made with cream, skim milk, sugar, egg yolks, vanilla extract I try to eat clean and I'm lowish carb (100gms below) this is by default as I am gluten intolerant , but when I'm after a treat - this is the one I go to because it isn't full of rubbish. 20gms of carbs in a…

I completed insanity last year. I totally loved it. But i didn't lose a lb in 2 months - but I toned up brilliantly. 100% take pictures - I took them weekly , its great to actually see changes happening! Before I started I was obsessed with google "female results from insanity" and I thought I was going to lose tons of…

I've not removed mine (apart from to shower !) since buying at the start of January. I love it and it works brilliantly with MFP. I love counting my steps and the on;y bit for me that seems to be inaccurate is miles (I wore my Garmin forerunner to check a route I walk and fit bit was not on track for mileage). But steps…
