I am seeing the same 'problems' and have been freaking out till I found this thread :) I gained an inch on my hips and lost half an inch on my waist after almost 8 weeks of NROLFW. I have also gained 5 lbs :( Trying to make peace with it. I have been eating at a deficit. It keeps varying but never went over maintenance…

Thanks for starting this thread! Answers many of my doubts as well. I am planning to start NROLFW from next week and I was wondering the same, how to also lose weight along with lifting. I need to lose around 30lbs. From the responses in this thread am I correct in understanding that I could eat at a deficit of 10-20% of…

That sure is a tough situation but do not get all demotivated. Maybe you can squeeze in 15 min workouts between your homeworks? Say work for an hour or so on your homework and take a 10-15 min break..jump rope or crunches or push ups..anything u feel like..just keep moving for those 10 mins. It might not be as effective as…

Same issue here. No kids but still have stretch marks. I have way to go before I can think of bikini but I definitely want that option :D I read somewhere that tanning helps hide them to some extent. Just curious, do self-tanning kits work? Has anyone tried them? Don't want to go to tanning beds or fry myself in the sun.

This is much more clear now :) I do try to walk around every now and then at my work but I guess that won't put me in the Lightly Active category.. So going by just sheer math, that would keep my rate of weight loss almost constant :( But on the bright side - any weight loss is a loss so I should keep going with it. :)

I was doing a similar thing. Eating a couple hundred less, so that it acts as a cushion on the days I eat much more or don't exercise. But that would keep me at around 1000 cal per day, which looks not-recommended. So that brings me to the next question - On non-exercise days, how much do you eat? Esp during weekends, when…

I did Day 3 Level 1 yesterday. Currently I am logging it under circuit training on MFP but I feel it bloats the calories burned. I don't think I burn that many calories as MFP says. I don't have an HRM :( How are you girls planning to log it as? I read some forum posts to get an idea how much I might be burning for my…

I had slight pain yesterday but pushed myself to jog for small intervals in between my walking and now the pain has worsened :( I just thought of keep pushing and not give myself an excuse for skipping a workout. You guys are right. Should just focus on stretching and low impact stuff like walking till the pain recedes.…

I don't like to cook either. And previously I would just eat some ready-to-eat food for dinner and be done with it. Sometimes even skip it! Too lazy isn't? Now I am making efforts to cook dinner and make a little extra which I pack for the next day's lunch, esp if its pasta or quinoa. I am not being very consistent with…

Facing similar problem. I condition my mind throughout the day to work out after getting back home. I succeed sometimes and fail miserably the others and feel frustrated. Its just too much of procrastination and inertia holding back. Don't want to sound like a weak-willed person. But that is something that I am going…

Hiii, I am 5'6" and need to lose 40+ pounds. I have been working out on and off but lacking consistency :( My major hindrance is lack of motivation when I get back home from work. All day I keep thinking I would work out today. Some days I succeed and some days, even with a lot of mental prep, I fail to stick to my workout…
