As everybody else has mentioned, people are not there to look at you. I have been a regular gym goer for years and I almost never pay attention to anybody unless I am admiring what they are doing and want to try it next. I was very overweight the first time I went into the gym and I understand feeling uncomfortable but you…

I did my first TM last summer.... I did it with a friend who was SUPER in shape and one who did not train at all. The one who didn't train, ended up hurting herself and having to quit half way in. So, I recommend training! Focusing on running first. You should be able to do at least 3-5km at a time. Once you can do that, I…

I started to notice within 10lbs... I found it took close friends and family about 20-25lbs before they said anything... and other people (co-workers, neighbours, people in my circle that I am not necessarily close with) about 30 + lbs

^^ Highly recommend those threads as well. Also, MFP wouldn't suggest anything under 1200 (especially under 1000), so follow MFP's suggestion if you are not sure where else to start. Example, MFP suggests I eat 1450 calories a day without additional exercise. When I do work out (I don't eat back ALL of my calories burned,…

I do this all the time. So good!

Welcome! Where are you located? I know a lot of grocery stores in Ontario, Canada now offer an in store dietitian. I assume other areas of the world are doing the same. I would check your local grocery or health stores - in my area they are free to consult with and they can help provide meal plans and good grocery lists.…

I would agree with this! Listen to your body. When you feel tired, rest without feeling guilty for missing a day.

Sorry! Super delayed reply! I am a medium frame though! Great job on your loss so far!

^^ What everybody said. Start new today. Take it one day at a time. One meal at a time. Focus on calories and keep going. When you feel like binging or skipping a workout, remember why you are doing this in the first place. (It might help to keep post it notes around your house or room to help remind yourself)

whats a sofa kitchen?? :p :D But to the OP. Great job getting started! Starting is the absolute hardest part for me. Like everyone else said you are not eating enough. Try to add higher protein foods and you'll see a big difference.

I was using it but i recently switched to Strava. If you wanted to try that out you can message me and I'll send you my username and all of that.

Am not a dietitian but I see you are from Canada.. if you live in Ontario, Loblaws/Zehrs stores have dietitians that work within their stores that you can meet and email them for free. I believe even if you are outside of an area with a Zehrs or Loblaws or RCSS, you can still email them. They can be very helpful!

What everyone above me said. You just need to remember the reasons you started it to begin with and just do it again. It might take a couple of days to get back into it but just stay focused.

As most have said... moderation is key. I drink at least one diet coke a day (sometimes two) and it has not stopped or impeded on my weight loss at all. :)

Oooo cinnamon roll! I will check it out! Thanks!!

Apple Pie sounds amazing! I will check my store to see if they have it!! Thanks.

Try making smoothies with it? I don't like chocolate or peanut butter tastes myself, but I know a lot of people use peanut butter in their smoothies.. might taste good with that? But will also have a much higher calorie count. Could also try pawning it off on a friend who likes it haha. Also try mixing with chocolate milk?

I'd even recommend trying to wake up 30 minutes earlier and trying those workouts ^^.. it might be harder at first to wake up, but I find it easier to wake up early and work out compared to working out after a really long day.

Boom Chicka Pop is amazing. <3

I tried letting it sit without the battery.. no luck! Maybe I'll leave it overnight and see what happens. I've noticed the decrease in my calorie burn too! Was way higher when I was 220+lbs! But I'd rather a lower burn and be my size than be the old me! Haha

Thanks! Thats what I thought but I didn't want to send it away or buy a new one if it wasn't going to make a big difference!

Edit: will that weight in the HRM affect the amount of calories that the HRM thinks I've burned?

I am guessing that it includes a circuit type training with a lot of use of the bosu ball. I have done some workouts with a bosu, and it can be really challenging but it is good!

I enjoy the elliptical but I only use it as apart of my greater workout routine. Its definitely a good start to your fitness journey, but I'd also look into some strength exercises too, to maintain your lean muscle as you lose the fat.
