I put them in my smoothie every morning - they have no flavour but I add them for the nutritional benefits

I used to have this as well. I would lose max a half a pound a week for about 3 weeks and on week 4 I would drop between 3-6lbs. It went on like this for a half a year until I began maintaining. Now that I am eating a deficit again, I haven't noticed that trend again (yet)

Me! I have done probably about a dozen over the last few years. Already signed up for two in 2020!

I don't have asthma - some mornings its just more of a hustle to get up 6 flights of stairs. Its usually when I'm feeling more sleepy.

As everyone else has said.. you do not need to exercise to lose weight but it does help. Maybe start with walking or biking or zumba. Maybe there is something you like that you haven't found yet. But until then, all you need is a calorie deficit.

I walk up 6 flights of stairs every morning for work. Some mornings I am running up them and totally fine, other mornings I can barely breathe and struggle like you wouldn't believe. I have no idea what it seems easier some days haha

Agreed with all the posts above! A food scale will surprise you! You are likely over eating without realizing it.

Its the of the few desserts I like... but I'm not a huge dessert person. I eat it with whipped cream and strawberries.

I am a vegetarian (but love the idea of a vegan diet) - feel free to add me

Amazing! This is great! I did c25k in the spring/summer and it really is a great program!! It took me about 48 minutes in the beginning and slowly but surely I got it down to a 30ish time frame! You can do it too! Just keep at it!!

Always up for new friends too! I am a high school teacher. I am down 27lbs and have another 35-45 to go!

About 5 years ago, I lost over 50lbs in 8 months. I went from 222lbs to 168lbs. I wasn't at my goal yet and still had about 30lbs to go and was still overweight for my height. But I remember getting those comments all the time. I think its just a way for people to give you like a back handed compliment. For others it may…

Amazing! I have been lifting 2-3 days a week and running 2-3 days a week with usually a yoga day thrown in there too. I just get bored being off work. Thanks for the insight!

Congrats on beginning this journey!! It is a huge step. I echo what others have said - walk. It will be a good way to ease into it! Most gyms also usually offer some walk through or a person training session for free. Even if yours doesn't offer this, it might be worth paying for 1 consultation just so they can show you a…

As many others have said, download C25K! I am just beginning week 6 of the 9 week program and it is honestly so good. I was a little over 200lbs when I started running with it and struggled a bit with the 60 second runs in week 1 but 6 weeks later, I just completed a 20 minute continuous run (with no walking) and it felt…

I agree with this. Although I don't often eat frozen meals, they do come in handy when needed. As long as it fits into your calories and its not your main source of food everyday, then it works :)

I just finished Week 5 Day 3 last night. It was SO tough but I am so proud that I was able to make the jump to 20 minutes!

Echoing what others above me have said, you can likely lose about 20-30lbs by Christmas in a healthy manner. This is a great loss though! Even if its not your goal, think of how much better you will feel 20lbs down over staying the same if you are unhappy where you currently are. I would recommend adding weight…

I don't understand what you mean when you said "you weigh once a week. You've done that twice". I weigh in once a week and I have done that for almost a year (if thats what you mean) I understand that it fluctuates and that I can weigh several lbs more one day and less the next but Ive never been stuck at the same weight…

I went from 197.2 to 197.0 two weeks ago and have been there since. and has only moved a small amount (3 lbs) in the 5 weeks before that.

Loblaws just started selling them in their meat section actually!

I am in Canada also! Which chain do you buy it at? I haven't seen it at my local store but I can shop around for some other options!
