Thanks for the replies :) I try and aim for 3 miles, which is 2 laps round the local park. I usually manage 1 lap, if that. I feel the same way - bringing a friend helps a lot :) I went with a friend for the first few months then after that felt comfortable enough to go on my own. I still get a little nervous sometimes, especially if the gym is busy, but just go for it :)

Cross training & ski machine! I can barely do 2 mins on each before collapsing!! I enjoy running & rowing though so stick to those :)

Fully skimmed on my cereal, other than that I can't stand the stuff (tea & coffee black!). Cheese is my downfall though, can't get enough of it! :P
