if you have the opposite problem, the sugar alcohols will make it worse, not cure it ... in general this is what happens

yes, it's the xylitol. it's quite potent as a fodmap.

I didn't post this to my blog but I do have pancake recipes similar and different to this on both my blog and the blog's FB page and on IG. http://chocolatechillimango.com http://instagram.com/chocolatechillimango http://facebook.com/chocolatechillimango These are really good too (I usually provide macros :D )…

I don't know Chris. Sure, the amounts you put away on refeed day would keep me going for a week lol But I understand that eating more makes you hungrier too, especially after a severe diet period. the only refeeds (also not science backed) I've done in the past have been around 1RM testing times, during which I ate a lot…

Have to agree with you Chris. I can only go by my own experience and those of people I know who have tried both and I honestly can't think of one instance in which RFL for an extended period was a good idea for the long term. There's also the question of how you come out of that RFL period too. Current argument about…

LMAO that's the spirit!

oh seriously, WAT? moderation means moderation. many of us who have been lean most of our lives eat a bit of everything, all in moderation. We don't all feel the need to greedily scoff every last cookie in the jar, you know. For some of us, one is plenty to make us happy. That's what normal is.

sounds like whining to me.

that's my favourite. I make it with cocoa added and THAT, my friend, is crack-in-a-jar :D

No, i also loathe Nutella. it was fabulous when I was a kid but they changed the recipe and it tastes nothing like what it used to. Crappy ingredients .. the quality has seriously suffered. tastes like rubbish now. I make my own. Tastes like the real thing :)

Have whichever you like. From a nutritional standpoint, almond and peanut butter obviously have more to offer. If you love PB but want to avoid the added sugar etc that is in PB2, then why not just get some roasted peanut flour? i mix that with water or almond milk until thick and creamy like peanut butter but with much…

also, try to not think of foods as "good" or "bad" or "clean" vs "dirty" this is not a healthy mindset and keeps you trapped into "safe" food mentality and may be a bit linked to your cravings Ice cream is not such a bad thing if trying to gain a little weight when recovering either. I think Ice cream helped me a lot…

I would strongly suggest that you don't count calories for a while. I had anorexia from the age of 15 and suffered with it chronically for decades, despite seeming to be recovered. It is important to take the focus of your life away from food and weight and all the things that trigger the "need for control" signals that…

I just completed my last round of 1RMs for this year over recent weeks (with a sore back lol). I haven't squatted much at all this past year due to lingering injury issues, so hoping to see how I go with that in 2014. BW 46.6kg Squat: n/a Bench: 46kg Deadlift: 115kg (no belt)

do you have an intolerance to these foods or a bona fide food allergy? they are completely different things and need to be managed differently.
-
that is not strictly true. Whey protein is processed and is extremely healthy :) however, you should probably share the brand and details of your brownie mix or it's difficult to answer your question. It depends what it states on the packet.

First comp jitters. D, I'd be ****ting bricks on the platform like anyone would first time. Hell, I have butterflies in my stomach now cos i have a deadlift 1RM test in 90mins :O You did great. I hope you enter the novice comp. I am still intending to go along. I was sad face yesterday not being there...kept checking in on…

I feel so so SOOOOOO PROUD!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely get a coaching session for comp stuff from Markos or Max down at PTC. Markos would be happy to do it, I am sure. That will help you feel more confident but go you, wonder woman i am all :D :D :D :D

Could be the contraceptives, could be the former underweight status and stress. Could be anything. I had anorexia when I was younger (quite severely) and it took some years for my period to come back and seem normal. BUT, I wonder if the stress you currently feel is contributing to your situation. Given you are trying to…

a rep range of 8 - 12 will still work but the best thing is to make sure you progress (ie as each weight gets easy, move up to the next weight level). As you know, your body will adapt to each weight and you have to keep challenging the muscle in order to stimulate growth. But, i've said this before, there is no way the…

Given your condition and medication, I would still be skeptical of the maintenance kcals provided by your nutritionist. The best way to figure out your maintenance is to track your own progress. methods for working it out give numbers that don't account for individual variances (and that includes how you respond to your…

Don't believe that you can gain LBM without a little fat creeping on along the way. Increase your kcals by 10-15%, track over a few weeks and see how you go.

Feelings of regret and guilt about food only serve to prove that you have an unhealthy relationship with food. Get rid of the notion that there are "good" and "bad" foods. Eat mostly whole unprocessed fresh foods and allow yourself a treat of something you really want (not just something that happens to be sitting to your…
