What you r doing is working so don't sweat it too much. You should NET your BMR everyday or very close to it. Google a BMR calculator and enter your info, it will give you a number (this is what a doctor would give you if you were in a coma, what your body needs to live on) stay as close to it as possible!

Do you also work out only eating 1,200 calories a day? I can burn 1,200 in a day! That means I would be giving my body nothing to fuel on.

I am not sure yet. I have not weighed yet, I just started doing this on advice from many on MFP. Seems like maybe I need to just eat 1,700 no matter what...even if I don't net that. I have been stuffing myself to get it all in.

I was wrong....your saying I should eat 2,239 unless I burn more than 659 calories then I eat what I go over? So today I ate 2,200 but burned 840....I need to eat 179 more calories? I only ate this much because I thought I was supposed to net 1,700!

Ok my BMR is 1,680 and my TDEE is 2,635. So do I just eat 1,680 unless I burn more than 659 calories? Then I will add what ever I go over? TDEE - 15% is 2,239

Maybe IBS (irritable bowl syndrome)? I too am a once a weeker and this is the reason.

Ok my TDEE without exercise is just over 2000, so I should eat 20% less than this but also eat back my calories from working out? That wouldn't be a very good deficit.

Thank you I just thought of the nuts as you posted. Ppl have been telling me to eat more for years but it always seemed counter productive, now that I have joined MFP it makes much more sense and everyone that has had great success eats more than I ever have! Raising it so high is so so scary.
