Just another thought, can you drop some water of at pre determined points prior to doing it?

The British army use these products and are well thought of in those types of circles: http://www.katadyn.com/ good luck as well!

I try to force myself not to have something that I become superstitious about so that input myself on a downer before I even start.
-
I read somewhere that after a week it starts to decline.

It would be good if manufacturers entered the data for their products and maintained it. They could come to an agreement that it is tagged in some way that it is an official entry.

Elliptical and bike are good cross training for runners. Also if you are not doing it throw in some sessions of strength & core, especially stuff for running e.g. Squats, lunges etc.

Crunchy peanut butter!

i assume shoes are correct size and nails kept short etc. 10k is a bit of a short distance for nail loss.
-
i think my advice would be to join a running club and use the training structure there to help you. I joined one last year and it has transformed my running,
-
Have a look here: http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/events/ in my experience you don't have to raise money for charity aligned with the runs, that way you can do your own just giving page and people can see your results on line.

Over this side of the pond the Vivo barefoot shoes are popular for the barefoot runners at the club I belong too. I hardly ever see five fingers being used in events now. There are quite a few low or no heel offset shoes available now for those who want to move to a more natural style but still want some cushioning. My…

Having the treadmill at 1% incline will make it more "real" compared to running outside. Can you start just doing one of your weekly sessions outside?
-
I would make one of your shorter runs one on mixed terrain with maybe some hills in there to give you some more mix in the training. As Pete says have a day where you do core/squats/etc as well.

The fact that is has retained the name of half-marathon shows that common sense has prevailed. Anyone who thinks that running a half is half the effort of running a marathon clearly never did one!
-
I seem to be sat at about the same (83 KG) despite eating at a level that should see me have a slow loss. TBH I'm not that bothered but it is strange.
-
I think it's important to say it's a run and not a race, the only person you are competing against is you. But yes, they are fantastic and the level of support offered to all runners is great, last week at the one we go to a visiting running club all ran back when they finished cheering on the other runners.

The term Holi relates to the Hindu festival where this originated from, the US guy who started the colour run took the idea from there.
-
How much are they in the UK?
-
With property prices as they are a million wouldn't buy you anywhere anyway!
-
I use an Iphone app called seconds, there is a limited free version that has some set intervals and you can create and not save your own, or the paid version you can petty much create and save whatever. even the free version will do what you want.
-
Run the 10k, you have done it before and the 5k is in your comfort zone, step out of it and train for the 10k, you have time!
-
Lance Armstong's left overs!
-
My Ghost 4's have seen me through C25K, many 5k's and a 10k and are still going strong. Great shoe!
-
Why not redo the C25k programme from a point that you feel just about comfortable with and then start to add more time? You need to add endurance and once you are back with 5k use one of the bridge programmes to get you to 10k. Out of the two options you mention I would go with #1 as you need to get your body used to the…

I would recommend going with a 1% incline and run what you are running now. If you feel that it is too hard then slow down for a walk period and pick it up again. Running training has lots of components with intervals just being one of them. If I were you just concentrate on getting used to running for 30 minutes plus…

As previously mentioned, Spi-belt.

Why do you feel the need to defend this so much?
-
I think the fact that DMAA has been made illegal says everything that needs to be said. She didn't deserve to die and given the ambiguity on the warning on the product I find it hard to comprehend how it can be suggested that she was at fault in some way.

On Wednesday a coroner ruled that the most likely cause off her death was a single dose of Jack3d, a performance-enhancing supplement that at the time was legal to buy, possess and use. "Most likely" is somewhat more conclusive than "may"
