haha! too true! thanks for input team- in general though the numbers it is generating arent toooooo out of whack is that right?

It might not help but I am on my journey to more cals too and also bloating a lot, trying hard to ignore it and realise it is not actual 'weight' gain as dont want to frighten myself away and cut cals again! This is no doubt no help but always good to hear someone else is int he same boat! I am going to 2k cals a day too…

thanks so much for all your help Hey Bales- going to go for 1800 on 7 days next week and march towards 2300 for a little while and then go for a deficit then ( probably around 2k 7 days a week) Hopefully that all sounds smart anyways! have a fab weekend! R

Oh Heybales- you are a huge help, thanks for this! Ok no wonder i had it all skewed- putting in the 90 min weights, and the 600 mins of walking ( and nothing in the cardio one) and changing the job section to no cross ( i work in a desk job with no kids/pets) that brings my TDEE to 2383 and the 15 percent cut to 2026 which…

Also sorry heybales- I didnt answer all your questions. Right now I am sitting at 11 stone 4 . "Got to get a healthy body back to get TDEE back up to potential - then take reasonable deficit." to get a healthier body back to get up to my TDEE do you advise slow increments?

Thank you so much for getting back to me heybales and xavier- really hope you see this reply but not sure how to make sure! Definately glad to hear I should be able to be eating more- right now I am upping my cals to 2000 a day and 1200 twice a week to get my body slowly used to it ( with view to increase the low cal days…

Hi All, Really hope no one minds me butting in and posting but could really use some help and just stumbled upon the thread and it feels the right place to be. To give you a background over last 5 years I lost 5 stone with just general life changes that needed made. The problem is with that last stone I really fixated and…

Thanks so much Kelleybean that sounds like a fab plan will give it a shot- you have all been a fab help! xx

Thanks Kelleybean- really appreciate all the help, think I have read so much I have just confused myself! soyou reckon the TDEE way of 1500-1750 cals is the best way even if I am only exercising monday-friday and am usually more sedentary on weekends? or is it safer to use the MFP method take their setting of 1470 cals…

Congrats on the pregnancy 3 dogs! ok so I have changed my MFP now to 1lb a week instead of two which has raised my daily cals to 1470 which is just below the lowest side of the TDEE range I was advised to consider in the other thread. So am I right in saying the option is to set the TDEE higher say 1650 and always aim for…

thanks 3 dogs! just to clarify then- I am going to try shifting up my daily cals to 1500 and not increase for exercise , will then this cause problems on say sat/suns when i don't have the same amount of energy output mon-fri? EDIT-ignore me- will pop on my post that worked!
-
thanks so much for commenting 3dogs- off to catch that post now- hadnt read it! I have just checked and MFP definitely had my down for losing 2lbs a week so changing that. Do you ear back your exercise cals?
-
Thanks so much BigT- can I ask if I go for 1500-1750 cals a day is that at basic not including exercise cals? for instance today i walk 7k which MFP works out at adding around 300 cals so would I add that on to my 1500-1750 cals? Off to check out the stickes too, really appreciate the input!
